So I'm assuming this has to do with some old Japanese saying. Does anyone know what this is referring to? Based on what's happening, I can tell its something to do with a last resort type... thing. ::shrugs and looks confused::

Anyone know the meaning of this?

I've always looked at that saying by Goku to be a means of him joking around before what he thought was going to be his death.

If that's what whatever he said translated to, it's certainly interesting. It does seem "folksy" in a way Goku often is.

It's basically a Japanese saying for when you get one last attack or retort in before you're finished.

いたちのさいごっぺ

It's a not uncommon Japanese idiom roughly equatable to a parting shot, or a final attack in this instance.

Goku calling his attack this pretty much shows he wasn't even making a last ditch effort to win. He was just taking an opportunity to lash back at Vegeta before his (seemingly) inevitable death.
