I just listened to the podcast EX did on the movie tie-ins, and... Goddamn it, Chi-Chi McRoberts?! That is the most out-of-place last name they could have possibly picked. Of course, it only becomes funnier when you think of her father's name: Gyû-Maô McRoberts. Apparently, he's an Irish demon ox king. I'm going to picture him as a giant leprechaun from now on. I really can't explain why this tickles me so.

That's it. This is too good. I now declare McRoberts to be her canonical last name!

I believe it's only mentioned in publications regarding the movie, not the movie itself. So it may not even be canonical for the LAM.

Enchanto was stupid, but you could almost buy it in the sort of trippy world of Dragon Ball (watered-down as the trippy aspect was in the movie). McRoberts, though, is such an unabashedly real-world name that giving it to a pre-existing Dragon Ball character just knocked me off my feet. And I hate to sound ignorant and everything, but Jamie Chung is so obviously of Korean descent that I can't help but think of that Starburst commercial that everyone raised a fuss over.

Goku's full name in the movie is Goku InNameOnly.

So, he took the "go" out of Goku? Eh, whatever. I thought the whole "In Name Only" thing was stupid back when they did it for Godzilla. It's just a different take on the character that turned out to be incredibly unpopular. Besides, it's not like he was supposed to be the SAME Goku from the manga.

I've called him Chatku ever since whoever it was on these forums came up with the name. (I honestly forget who it was. I wanna say it was Conan who came up with it, but I can't be sure.)
