I was reading through the newbie guide of the site the other day because I was bored, and I came across this sentence:
As an aside, this is why the more knowledgeable fans of DB dislike FUNimation's lumping both the Movies and TV Specials into a single "Feature" category, with no distinction between the two.
Why is this quote so important you may be wondering... well, I then went to the movie guide of the site (again, out of boredom) and saw that the TV specials were a section in the guide. A little ironic, right? Now, I know some might argue that Daizenshuu EX acknowledges that they are television specials - but they still
are in the movie guide.
This is just a little thing I wanted to point out. You guys can discuss if the TV specials should be added to the episode guide (like Kanzentai) or something, unless of course this has been pointed out before.
An interviewer asks, "The soundtrack in Sonic 3 has become legendary. Is it true that you worked with Michael Jackson on it?" Takashi Iizuka kills all of our hopes and dreams by replying, "You know, those are just rumors, and SEGA does not want to say anything about them. So they will forever be just rumors..." WHY!?

Looks like you're just searching around for contradictions, really.
It's under the "Movie Guide" because that's the closest thing we have to a "Hey, these are all the feature-length-or-close-to-it presentations Guide". You'll also notice things like the Terebikko production there. It's not a movie, but it's there. Because it fits. And they're all clearly labeled and described as what they are. And our episode guide is useless, so nothing fits there.
That's about it.

I guess you are right. You add a lot of details to the pages in the movie guide, and the episode guide... is, uh... just there (sorry to sound rude saying that). These specials belong there if you're going to have a big breakdown on them. I was just trying to point out that they are just double-length episodes, really.

But I'm sure if Funimation distinguished between the specials and the movies people would still complain, because, hey, they're Funimation.

What would there be to complain about?

The fact that they are grouped together in one set rather than with the episodes. In other words, anything that is different than how the Japanese counterpart did it.
