Gogeta..... Super Saiyan 5?!?

Gogeta..... Super Saiyan 5?!?

Post by SaiyamanMS » Sat Dec 11, 2004 6:54 am

I know.... it's been stated before that there is no SSJ5..... but still I was just thinking to myself.... do you think it may have been possible that Gogeta was SSJ5 in GT? After all his fur and hair were differently coloured than SSJ4 Goku's and SSJ4 Vegeta's fur and hair.... just something I thought of, after all Gotenks was able to reach SSJ3 when Goten and Trunks individually were only able to reach SSJ1..... Yeah.... I know it's probably a stupid suggestion.... but still, what do you guys think?

It's always been my oppinion that Gogeta was, in fact, SSJ5. It's not only the coloring that makes me think this but his fusion track record. He's seen, what, twice? Once in movie 12 and once in GT. And in movie 12 they were in base when they fused and Gogeta was already a Super Saiya-jin. It stands to reason that fusing while at level 4 would still do the same thing and Gogeta would automaticaly emerge at level 5.

What was Vegito's(Vegetto) excuse then? There is no SSJ5. It was stated that he was SSJ4.

Gogeta reached Super Saiyan 4, the different look was just added for "coolness" sake.
However if you listen to Vegeta talking before Bulma made the Brute Wave device you hear him say something* that indicates that there was going to be a Super Saiyan 5, had the show continued.

Gogeta, nor anybody else actually said Gogeta is SSJ4, but I would still have to conclude he is. I would think if he had really reached an even higher form of Super Saiyan, that he would've made a point of saying so, or atleast somebody would have.

It's kinda strange though; the whole SSJ5 conversation Vegeta had with Bulma seemed like foreshadowing for it, then it didn't happen. :?

I think he couldve reached it later on, but that was definately SSJ4 at the end of GT. Its definately a possiblity, considering how many people think Gojiita is the strongest being in DB/Z/GT

Strongest, maybe. Coolest? No.

Vegito is much cooler than Gogeta.

I dunno, the party popper attack was quite funny first time :D

Strange really how different Vegitto and Gogeta act in Z (guess it's just the old Z vs GT arguement really)

Gogeta was initially the dead serious one who just blasted Janemba with that Sparkle attack (dunno what it's called but it's cool, answers to it's name please??) about 60 seconds after fusing whereas Vegito was the arrogant one who enjoyed Vegeta's style of taunting (although it was revealed in the end it was all to get Buu to absorb him)

Unfortuantely GT kinda wrecked the boundary between them by giving them both the same personality

So really it comes down to....World's Strongest Candy ever vs Party Poppers :D

In B3, it's called Soul Punisher. It's SSJ Gogeta's ultimate.

Same here. But I once read that SSj4 uses the Saiyan's true hair colour (if this is true, then SSj4 Trunks would have purple hair SSj4 Gotenks would have black and purple hair), so maybe SSj4 Gogeta actually has red hair.

But the reason Gotenks had Purple and Black hair was because Goten had black hair and Trunks had purple hair.... both Goku and Vegeta had black hair, so why would Gogeta have red hair? it makes no sence....

It's GT, man. It's just GT's way.

Personally, I felt SSJ4 Gogeta was a retarded abomination who was neither cool nor funny. Not only does SSJ4 look like the love child of an 80's rocker and a bare-chested ape-monkey, but his antics proved merely irritating. Vegetto was not the idiot this guy was, he taunted Buu soley as a means to become absorbed. He had Vegeta's IQ. Gogeta, however, takes after the cocky, arrogant GT Goku we all know and "love" (Goku even makes it clear that HE was in control, the whole time). And his party popper attack was just NOT funny. And Big Bang Kamehameha just makes NO SENSE. Why would it be stronger than one or the other?

As for the DBZ movie Gogeta? He was pretty plain, just like any other movie specific character. He was like the Mark Wahlberg or Vince Vaughn of Dragonball: really popular for some reason, but rather plain and with no real credentials to speak of. He's just not interesting.

Hey, take a look at this, it might help with that whole red hair thing.

Image

What do you think? I'm guessing it might be a higher level of super saiyan 4, like super saiyan 1 1/2, except without the huge bulky muscles.

It's just that GT had some odd rule that if you were strong your hair changed colours. This, as well as SSJ4 Gogeta support that claim. As does the Golden Oozaru.

I still don't see why all you guys keep bashing GT. I really liked it. Especially the idea of ssj4 and ssj4 gogeta, brilliant!! I'll admit that GT had its flaws (like contradicting almost everything in Z) but if you look past that, I think it is really good.

Rocketman, I almost fell out of my chair laughing at that. So true.

I love GT as well, but really it is everyone getting beat up and Goku becoming insanely powerful to save the day.

Don't get me wrong, I really like GT, it does have it's confusing plot hole type of points, but I still like it. When it comes on each week I lock the door, put a "do not disturb" sign on it, and am practically glued to it. There was just one main thing that I never understood. Other than that though, GT is pretty cool.
