Best opening and theme

Post by NekoSayajinZ » Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:20 pm

What is your favorite opening movie and theme song from DB's video game history, and why? My personal faves are the OP's and themes from both Budokai 2 and Sparking! Meteor, along with Kiseki no Hono Moegakure from Burst Limit. I always loved the energetic fell of the songs and all.

Tell us your opinion.

Budokai 3 for sure, but I also love the opening to Burst Limit.

Definately Burst Limit. Best Dragon Ball Z vocal song next to Head-Cha-La.

I never learned the name of it, but Sparking! METEOR's/Tenkaichi 3's song, by Kageyama, was kickass. Did the American version leave the vocals in? I remember U.S. commercials using the instrumental, so I'm assuming that at least was still in the game.

Budokai 2. Absolutely no contest. The music and video together capture the fun spirit of Dragon Ball pretty much perfectly, and I always love seeing new animation of Dragon Ball, even if it's just an opening. I wish all the games had these types of opening, rather than the 3D model type ones.

Edit: I love the part where Goku shoots the moon in half. It's like they have something against it.

Budokai 2, for being the only one to have Vegetto.

Ultimate Battle 22, mainly because I love character montages.

The Biggest Fight holds a place for me, despite it being attached to such a crappy game.

I really like Power of Dreamer. One of the few good points about that awful game.

Burst Limit. Shit's got a god damned orchestral backing.

Budokai 2 and 3 are my favorites, I wish the Tenkaichi games were done the same way. I want them to do more movies like that in future installments.

For openings:

Budokai 2 > Budokai 3 > Burst Limit > Tenkaichi 3 > Infinite World

As for endings, it goes to Infinite World with "Dragonball Party."

Favorite opening songs (not necessarily favorite games):
Final Bout (The Biggest Fight)
Budokai 2 (Kusuburu Heart Ni Hi Wo Tsukero)
Tenkaichi 3/Sparking! METEOR (Super Survivor)
Burst Limit (Kiseki no Honou yo Moeagare)
Infinite World (Hikari no Sasu Mirai e)
Raging Blast (PROGRESSION)

I didn't like the 3d CG in some of the openings, but the songs themselves are good.

Dragon Ball Party is also one of my favorite game songs, but that's an ending song.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

My favourite opening theme songs have to be Burst Limit's "Kiseki no Honou yo Moeagare" and Raging Blasts "Progression", the vocals and the orchestral music are just amazing. Also I really like Final Bout's "The Biggest Fight", but that's it about that game.
Just another Dragon Ball fangirl in the world.

DB & Tiger and Bunny are my main fandoms, along with many other animes.

My personal favorite would have to be Kusuburu Heart Ni Hi Wo Tsukero from Budokai 2. The fast-paced beat and melody of the song are just awesome. Not to mention the 2D animation that goes along with the song.

Yes the 2D animation in Budokai 2,3 and Sagas is like my favorite part of the games and made the songs a lot more fun. I was really sad to see them go away during BT1-Raging Blast. :(
