#16's death
Hey everyone, I was watching the awesome episode where Gohan turns SSJ2 and something peculiar came up. When Cell crushes #16's head, blood fiels all over the place. Wasn't 16 an completely mechanic Android? (a robot)
Where does the blood come from?
And aren't all the Namek hhouses spaceships? If you picture Kami's ship, burrowed in the ground you get a typical Namekan house.

While completely "android" in this sense, it's not hard to imagine that #16 may have been infused with some human-type parts. And oil could very easily mix with all the other non-organic/organic nonsense floating around in there to end up red .

Hell, it could just be an unknown red liquid that Gero made which gives him 00ber strength.VegettoEX wrote:While completely "android" in this sense, it's not hard to imagine that #16 may have been infused with some human-type parts. Explantation: The anime messed up.....again
To be honest any theory is pure speculation but oil seems the most likely candidate, or some other from of DBZ lubricant/energy source

That or it could just be added for dramatic affect.VegettoEX wrote:While completely "android" in this sense, it's not hard to imagine that #16 may have been infused with some human-type parts. I always thought of it as some sort of strange liquid that Gero put in there as a sort of "blood," just as Dayspring said earlier. #16 and #19 were completely mechanical, although I have seen toys and stuff labeling them as cyborgs.
I was voted "most unique" and "most likely to become the next existential thinker" in high school.
I'm curious, though... Why would any type of fully responsive and automatic robot or android have the tiniest bit of oil inside?
The stuff that was there in the manga was just as much for dramatic effect as in the anime, so I can't say the anime changed that much.

The only thing I can think of is that it's sort of like the Terminator; they have flesh and blood over a metal endoskeleton. It may be to keep the fact that he is an android hidden, although I don't know for the life of me why Gero would believe that any of the Z Fighters could harm him.
OT- Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Recoome of the Ginyu Force an android? I seem to recall that somewhere.

Then how come we never see him again? Because when they wished everyone Cell killed back to life, Android 17 came back. Why not Android 16? Was that just a plothole?Super Sonic wrote:I never read or saw anything that would say he's an android. Especially since he apparently had a soul that went to Hell in the anime.
