DB intros and endings
You mentoined once that you'd eventually upload movies of the intro and ending animations FUNi didn't use for DB.
Are they gonna be up anytime soon?

For the DragonBall ones, the only way we'd be able to even get them would be if one of us got the upcoming DragonBall "Dragon Box" (DVD boxset). I've got fansubs, but we don't wanna put up shit-quality stuff ^^.
As for other openings / endings... I've actually been filtering the Hell outta the PS1 game openings for encoding. I've got the UB22 encode done, but I'm just not happy with the Final Bout one at all...
That stuff will come eventually... our other projects are on a slightly higher priority, right now ^^.

This is as good a point as any to ask:
Did FUNI know that there were more than one opening/ending animation to DB? They didn't seem too sure with DBZ at first, but eventually they managed to get things mostly right (with the odd exception).
It's just that, if they didn't realise, it's a bit of a coincidence how the opening and ending animation they use are the most common of their respective brethern. I mean, if you were only going to use one opening and ending for Dragon Ball, those are the ones that you would pick.
And in any case, why wouldn't TOEI give them all the intros/outros? They did for DBZ.

If any of us knew, we'd tell you. That's just how the cookie crumbles, I guess...

PsyLiam, thats not totaly true. Pioneer used a mixture of "Head-Cha-La" and other random footage for "Rock the Dragon". Their ending was basically the first half of "Head-Cha-La". Funimation's OPs/EDs for the Freeza arc through the Cell Games arc were just random footage put to a Faulconer BGM. They did however actually use the full "WE GOTTA POWER" and "We Were Angels" animations (to a Faulconer BGM) from the Great Saiyaman arc to the Chibi Buu arc.

Correction... that wasn't Pioneer. It was FUNimation. They made those opening / ending animations long before they ever sub-contracted home distribution to Pioneer.

Sun_Wukong: You misunderstand. I know that the dub doesn't use the correct openings/endings. But on the DVDs, with the odd exception (like the initial discs), the episodes all have the correct opening and ending animation associated with them, if you are watching the Japanese version. Therefore FUNi must have them.
Whereas for DB, the same opening and ending animation is used whether you select Japanese or English, only the audio changes (although there is an English credits/creditless option for the end credits, but that does't change the animation).
This all implies that they only have one opening and one ending DB animation available.
(And Rock the Dragon uses footage from both the initial two Cha La openings, with the humans all powering up, and footage from the third version, with Vegeta and Trunks. Which again implies that they had all the openings from the beginning.)
