Spain's Remastered DBZ Movie Sets (Movie 13 Included?)

Post by VegettoEX » Sat Apr 17, 2010 3:49 pm

Hey, Spanish folks!

I'm going through and updating all my "Releases" info for the podcast over the next month or so, and I'm seeing just how much crazy stuff you Spaniards have come out -- thanks for that DBGT thread, by the way!

Anyway, the second DBZ movie set is coming out next month. It's supposedly seven discs (the cover art and description note this), and the description includes the Bardock and Trunks TV specials... but it doesn't seem to list DBZ movie 13.

Now, if DBZ movie 13 isn't included, that only covers 6 discs (movies 9, 10, 11, 12, TVSP1, TVSP2).

I'm assuming this was just an accidental non-inclusion of DBZ movie 13... it was produced in the same languages as the rest of the movies, right? It's probably on there?

Just figured I'd double-check. Thanks!

You could always look at the cover art on their site, Mike. ;p

Gah, I didn't see the click-through for the additional cover art... >.<

Which, by the way, was totally showing up properly hot-linked/sourced off their server earlier here in the thread, and not even cached since I was on a different computer...

But yeah. Back cover shows movie 13. I is the dumb today.

I really need to pick up Spanish again. The dub is SO amazing and Spain has put out some really good releases.

Can anyone tell me how many Spanish dubs there are? I think there were two right?

Indeed, just two: Spain and Mexico. I've heard ramblings that Argentina might've dubbed some as well.

Also, hotlinking is bad, m'kay? ;p

Argentina have a dub as well. Ican ask some friends from radio, but they have probably the same one as Chile, Venezuela and Perú.

In Spanish there is one Castelan, Bassque, Galician, Catalan, Valencian. For America, there is one from Mexico, where the Castelan Spanish is spoken and in Latin America, the one major dub from Chile. For question why didn't they use Mexican dub is because altough the Spanish spoken here is Castelan as in part of Spain and Mexico, they have different pronouncing in Latin America. For example I is said Yo in Spanish, but they pronouncing it as Jo.
So 7 dubs in Spanish language.

Are you kidding? I thought that the Mexican dub was also used for the rest of South America, since 2 Chilean and Argentinian channels (ETC and Magic Kids) showed the Mexican dubs of DB & DBZ.

I'm not kidding, they have their version. It's possible that they aired Mexican dub, but Mexico and South America are using technically the same Spanish, but spoken differently.
And I have confirmation from few friends from Argentina and Perú, that they actualy had the Chilean dub. It's confirmed also by existence of Chilean own opening and ending, Chala Head Chala and Detekoi Tobbikiri Zenkai Power!.
I can ask again some different guys from Argentina, what they'll say.
It can be like here in Czech republic, Czech is simmilar to Slovak so we can air Slovak dubs and vice versa. We were one big state together in 20th century anyway. So I think it's obvious that Southern American will understand Mexican Spanish and Mexican will understand Latino Spanish.
Also if you consider that in Spain, Castilian understands Catalan and Catalan understands Castilian. Catalan Spanish is a different language on it's own.

In Mexico and South America there are only two dub, the first one, that i'm not sure when it was [about 94-95 I think...], it was called "Zero y el Dragon" [dub made from Harmony Gold] and it had only a few chapters dubbed; and the well-known second dub from Intertrack. And of course both are Mexican.

Argentina and Chile hasn't own dubs, only Chile has music, they released two discs, in which they have their own versions of the Opening, Ending and Insert Songs, but not dub.

That explains why I didn't found any actual footage of Chilean dub))

The coverarts for movie 13 are deleted. Can someone else upload it ?
The word "KAI" means in the old North Germanic language Frisian "Kämpfer engl. Fighter" respectively "Krieger engl. Warrior"!
