What kind of game besides fighting they should make a dbz game out of?

Still a fighting game, but I'd wanna see a SSB Brawl type game for exclusively DBZ characters for a console.

Dragon Ball RACING BLAST!

My post from the thread, "Let's re-skin a game and call it Dragonball:"

Dragondyle always has good ideas.
I'm going to say an adventure game. Or, any game for that matter. I'm almost tired of fighting games. AoTS was my favourite (That's correct spelling. I'm from New Zealand. It's how we spell there it. So the admins should take note of that.) DB game for a reason.
Oh, you think the Grand Tour is your ally, you merely stepped into the Grand Tour. I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn’t see the Super until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding!

For the PS3 and 360: They should fuse together Legacy of Goku 2 with Sagas. So we get a free roam earth of sorts with HD graphics; that way people don't complain that "its just the same game over and over again".

Why not have like a Mario Party type DBZ game?

Some type of traditional RPG, where you can have up to 4 or 5 members in your party, who can learn 4 or 5 moves, and there are items, small-fry bad guys, big ass boss battles, and epic music

I'm thinking Pokemon, without wild pokemon; and other Trainers are henchmen/bad guys, Gym Leaders are Big Bads. And of course, instead of catching Pokemon you befriend allies, and even villains.

Sounds weird, but I think it could work :)

Seems fun. I hope not all games are on 360/ PS3, because I only have a DS :?

Thanks! :D I've been thinking up that idea for a year now. I've even wanted to propose the idea to Bandai before. I'd love a game like that.

Also, I think the admins are aware of that, at least I hope so. We are pretty multi-cultural here. :D I'm from America and even I spell favourite like that. Though, Firefox hates it when I do that.

Anyway, back on topic! Some game company does need to retry DBZ in an action-adventure genre. It worked for Dragon Ball, Sagas almost had it, ugh, and the Legacy of Goku games were good but they were on a handheld. A good adventure DBZ game would be nice on consoles, and if done right, it would be like by a lot of gamers, not just DBZ fans.

Yeah, I had the DS in mind. Well, actually, the Game Boy Color, but whatevs. DS would also be my modern console of choice for my imagined 23rd Tournament game.

Yes, it would. The best thing we got right now is AoTS, but that's more of an RPG. I wish TAG VS wasn't another fighting game. I'm so done with those. How about "Dragon Ball TAG ADVENTURE?" :P

Hmm.... Dragon Ball tennis. Let's become whored out like Mario!
No, seriously, we need something fun that isn't a series killer.

Ugh, these last few fighting games are almost killing the series. Because of the games, I'm so tired of the DBZ story now. To me, it's the same thing over and over. There needs to be an awesome WHAT-IF game, where everything is original and made up, but good. Or, how about a Dragon Ball mini-game collection, or an equivalent to Wii Sports? Gosh, I can throw all of these ideas out for better DB games then these fighting games.

That would kill the series. But AotS was good because it had a lot of what ifs.

Exactly. That's what it needs but a lot more percentage of the game needs to be what-ifs. The Sparking! series was good with the what-ifs but it was like only 2% of the games story.

I only really want a what if because the old story gets repetitive after 20 games.

I doubt that will happen though.
