If they were to refresh the entire series?
How long do you think it would take for [whoever does this] to redraw the series to look as good as the opening and closings?
I think it would be way worth their time and effort, even if they only did the 100 Kai episodes that way.

They should have. I think more people would give a damn about KAI if they actually... KAI'd it up more than they are now. But they'd probably think something like that is OVA-worthy.LeprikanGT wrote:How long do you think it would take for [whoever does this] to redraw the series to look as good as the opening and closings?

I don't see why they couldn't do an episode a week like other animes. It probably wouldn't look quite as a good as the OP, but I'm sure it would be doable.

It would be horrendously expensive and Toei hates spending money if they don't have to.Amigo Ten wrote:I don't see why they couldn't do an episode a week like other animes. It probably wouldn't look quite as a good as the OP, but I'm sure it would be doable.
Honestly I'm surprised we even got Kai. I am very glad we did though.

I wish to say Toei is cheap when it comes to DB, but in actuality I don't know what their budget is or how much money they have to spend on DB vs how much they would make off a fully reanimated Kai.
But yes, I really want to see some brand new animation longer than just an opening or closing sequence.
It's why I'm really hoping for another JSAT special this year.

I'm good with Kai, but I am sure that if they did re-draw it all and then promoted it like crazy, they would make a ton more money and possibly get more fans, as it would look sort of like a newer show and not a 26 year old show.
EDIT: Also, if they ever redrew GT, would that get people 'off it's back'? Or was everyone's problem the plotholes?

Maybe they kinda sort of money,so if they reanimated they hole thing maybe it's pretty much look like this

So that's why they don't wanna do it,because they know it's pretty much gonna look like that.

I mean if they reanimated from scratch; no tracing of old material. ^^;;
What I'd like to see them do with Kai is what they do with One Piece.

No no, not retracing, I mean take the kai footage they are using....but animate it to look how amazingly nice the opening and endings look.
It would technically be the same scenes but it would all look super nice.

Just imagine the worst reanimated scene that's on the show. That's what I'm talking about.dan2026 wrote:I honestly don't see what's wrong with that picture.Goku100xKamehameha wrote: So that's why they don't wanna do it,because they know it's pretty much gonna look like that.

Its an in-between frame from the opening.Piccolo Daimao wrote:

You could not see it in motion.
I'm not sure exactly what this guy is trying to prove, but its getting annoying.

My comment is that it is invisible in motion.Goku100xKamehameha wrote: Nothing, I just want to see what you guys comments about these "in-between frames" from the opening.
So instead of hunting down every slightly off frame you can find, why don't you post some cool frames instead?

Re: If they were to refresh the entire series?
To be honest I hate how the opening's art style, and I would hate if they refreshed the series with that. How their hair looks is my main problem, the amount of shine, and the improbable light source, and how they start shine out of nowhere for the bangs. If they were to refresh it I would like it if they stayed closest to the original style as possible, but not by tracing or have a crappy digital look with awkward line thickness. The things they can improve on in a refresh is to have on model designs, consistently good drawings, and fluid/good animation while keeping the original look.

Come to think of it, I can't find much of a problem other than the hair other than how Vegeta looks, and the actual animation isn't half-bad. Maybe its not as terrible as I thought, but still the hair ruins anything good about it.
