Dragon Box Vols 1-3 Questions

Post by Dragon Ball Freak » Sat May 08, 2010 2:49 pm

I have a question related to the Dragonboxes. I keep hearing on websites and seeing YouTube videos where the English vocies are off sync and the sound effects are delayed. Are some sets better than others? I am freaked out because I have Dragonbox 1 and 2 and have not opened them yet. :?:

To anyone who doesn't know, he's referring to this video that was posted when Dragon Box One came out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPuQrnOFY2Y

Also, the same person posted a video supposedly showing syncing differences on the Japanese track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STwYlSvm-xA

VegettoEX did mention the issue in his review. Although, he didn't confirm one way or the other and he didn't mention the Japanese track.
VegettoEX wrote:Anecdotal evidence across the internet seems to suggest that certain parts of the English dub audio track may be slightly out of sync with the video. We spot checked several scenes on different discs, and did not notice anything of this sort. We have near-zero familiarity with this cast's dub of these episodes, however, so any adjustments in aspects such as vocal effects are lost on us, and we are unable to comment on any changes that may have been made.
I personally haven't noticed anything amiss but I probably wouldn't notice something like that anyway.

I haven't noticed anything on the Japanese audio track across all 3 volumes.

Thanks for confirming the Japanese Audio track has no problem but I was more concerned about the English Audio Track.

From what I've seen online, there are very, very few instances here and there where the sync is off for just a moment. It's not a big problem, though.

I've watched the first two and most of 3 all the way through in English, and so far, I haven't noticed any issues like this at all.

I couldn't find anything wrong, and I've actually setup 2 monitors and watched both the English and Japanese releases. It could just be that he got a bad disc.
