Nicktoons Network Schedule
This is worth a new thread, right?
Anyhow, my friends at Toon Zone have got our schedule for the first seven days if Dragon Ball Kai's airing. All I have to say is, that's a ton of repeats.

Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
Hmm... odd my NickToons guide listing stated that the second one isn't new. Of course this was on Tuesday when I set the recording for the first episode so it might have changed. And by the looks of things, it seems that the TV Broadcast will catch up to the home releases faster than I thought.

Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
I was going to ask how long will it take for them to surpass what they released on DVD/Blu-ray, but I guess that after episode 13, people are screwed at least until September (or whenever the next set comes out). What's funny is with two episodes per day, you will get less than two weeks of new Kai and then reruns over and over again.
If they manage to get past episode 13, I will be royally pissed.
If FUNimation wants to make us all spend more money for separate purchases of Kai, that's fine, put it on two releases or three or even four, and I would pay for all four, but don't spread it out months apart. This is ridonkulous.

Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
The period over which they can release Kai might depend on Toei's orders. Even in Japan the Home videos are still only in the thirties. A third set of thirteen would place FUNi at #39. August 27, 2010 will see the release of Toei DVD #18 (episodes #52-54), these episodes will see a Blu-ray release on June 25, 2010 by Toei, so I doubt they'll want FUNimation so close to them.TheGreatness25 wrote:I was going to ask how long will it take for them to surpass what they released on DVD/Blu-ray, but I guess that after episode 13, people are screwed at least until September (or whenever the next set comes out). They're really milking Kai, aren't they? Well, at least it would be hard to miss episodes.

I'll probably check it out when it airs at 2 in the morning.

Oh God they are going to censor it to hell and back aren't they?
I suppose I might check it out in morbid curiosity.

I'm going to check it out because I'm curious to hear all the new performances, editing aside, and it's better than spending actual money on Kai.dan2026 wrote:Oh God they are going to censor it to hell and back aren't they?

That's good. Multiple viewing times will increase the viewers for the show like CN did with Toonami a long time ago.JulieYBM wrote:This is worth a new thread, right?

The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
Just a question, if the second one is new then how come the guide listing on my cable box lists it as a re-run? I know I said that but is it because it has the same description as the one airing at 8:00. I'm recording the second one just to be sure but I want to know in advance.

Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
UPDATE: It seems Nicktoons won't be airing a episode on May 31st since they are having a "Avatar: The Last Airbender" movie marathon that day. It will go back to regular schedule though on Tuesday, June 1st following with only 1 new episode each day.

At this rate maybe they will catch up with DB Kai that air on Japandragonpiece wrote:UPDATE: It seems Nicktoons won't be airing a episode on May 31st since they are having a "Avatar: The Last Airbender" movie marathon that day. Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
Through my boredom and using a calendar, I've noticed that on September 26, Kai episode 76 will air in Japan. One day later on September 27, Z Kai episode 76 will air on NickToons. Because I don't know how the "seasons" work in Japan or on NickToons, and if any more scheduling conflicts arise (like the aforementioned Avatar marathon), this may (and probably will) not happen, but it seems that the U.S. airing could and would theoretically pass the Japanese airing. Just a little something to chew on there.
My hypothesis: NickToons will continue to air DBZK (hell of an abbreviation) until the end of August, as that is approximately when the artificial humans will make their first appearance.

Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
I think after the last episode of the Vegeta arc, they're just going to do reruns for a couple of months until "new" episodes come in. That's how American television works.
Then again I didn't go and check the schedule, and if it has something there that states otherwise, I'm sorry, but honestly, I doubt they'd get on-par with the Japanese version so quickly (Toei wouldn't want that I"m assuming). Plus, the next 13 episodes don't come out for a long time on Blu-ray or DVD.

I imagine they'll divide a "season" somewhere and show repeats for a while. It will never catch up or pass the Japanese version.

Re: Nicktoons Network Schedule
Yeah. So the end of the Vegeta fight will be "Season 1". Then again... The Blu-ray/DVD release of the first 13 episodes was before the show aired on TV, and the second part comes out what, sometimes in September? That will make it after they finish showing it on Nick Toons. Makes zero sense. Unless they repeat the first 13 episodes on Nick Toons over and over again until September.
