I'm reading that Sean S (Goku) is the voice singing on the Dragonball Kai DVD for the intro music. This is true???

Is this the first time he's done something like this?
I have no problem with him singing the song but it just strikes me as rather odd???

Not only the DVD also the BD (if you wanna know)

Not only the intro, also the outro and not only the DVD also the BD (if you wanna know)
