Or is that supposed to be a bit of a refrence to Krillin's voice actress, Tanaka Mayumi, who has done some singing? Very weird, but kinda silly at the same time
Krillin, Best in "Japan"?
Krillin, Best in "Japan"?
This is a weird bit I noticed in Movie 8, but Kame-sennin comments that Krillin 's singing is "The Best in Japan", yet I thought the whole DB world was like made up of fictional cities like "West City", "Ginger Town", and "Penguin Village"? Is there a Japan located in the world of DB or what? O_o

Kamesennin was drunk. Maybe nobody else had a clue what he was talking about with this "Japan" thing.Izlude wrote:This is a weird bit I noticed in Movie 8, but Kame-sennin comments that Krillin 's singing is "The Best in Japan", yet I thought the whole DB world was like made up of ficitional cities like "West City", "Ginger Town", and "Penguin Village"? Or alternatively...

Bah, it's just one of those little goof-ups that you have to overlook from time to time. In chapter 60 of the manga Murasaki is also holding an American flag. Budweiser and Coca-Cola logos appear in the anime. And then there's the whole Penguin Village cross-over fiasco. I'm sure there're plenty more examples as well...

It's unique to the Viz translation (Chapter 14, where Pu'er frantically asks Yamcha what the "Kamehameha" is).TripleRach wrote:Huh, I don't remember that... Where's this at?WhatTheDarn wrote:TOEI overlooked a mistake, I guess. Although in volume two of the manga, Yamcha remarks that Kamehameha was a Hawaiian king.

Always blaming the Madoushi for TOEI's and Toriyama's problems...shame on you!SaiyaJedi wrote:Or alternatively...
By the way, did you just add that in there, or am I just completely blind? I don't remember seeing it before...
