Trunks special on Kai?

Does anyone think they are going to add Trunks special on Kai? Considering they add a little bit of Bardock's special at the beginning of Kai it might be true they will add a short version of Trunks special after the Cell arc. Speculation I know but it makes sense.

Why would it be after the Cell arc?

And didn't they add some scenes when Trunks was explaining what happened in his timeline?

I meant before the Cell Games. And Kai cut those scenes.

I think in the manga they show the trunks special really quick after the cell saga. I'm not too sure though and if this is following the manga closely then it would make sense for it to be right there.

In the manga the History of Trunks chapter happens just before Goku fights Cell.

I was wondering this myself when I was watching the Trunks special a few days ago. It would be kinda cool to see it in Kai since I absolutely love the Trunks special. If Kai doesn't have it, I will hate Kai forever.

It wouldn't bother me if Kai doesn't have the TV special. It was made separately so I wont miss it and judging how Kai has been editing down DBZ I would hate to see the dark story of Trunks's world be dumbed down. It's not like that story needed any changing in the first place, in fact I rather Kai not include this story.

Since they're touting this being according to Toriyama's vision, I think it would be a nice touch. Do keep in mind that the manga and TV special differ, so maybe use it as a base and rework it with new scenes? That'd be interesting...

It could work, even if it's very brief. One of the cool things Kai does from time to time is show a little foreshadowing rather then recap the last episode with the narrator before the opening. Remember the Kai episode where Cold revived Freeza? That was awesome, Freeza wakes up, tells his papa that he's going to to earth to kill the super saiyan then Dragon Soul kicks in. That was great, moments like that really separate Kai from the Z version making it feel truly like a refreshed series.

I'd like something like that for the eventual Kai episode where Son Goku fights Cell. Recap the Trunks special in the first two minutes, perhaps narrated by Trunks then ending showing him going super saiyan over Gohan's death, then BANG, kick in Dragon Soul followed by Goku starting to fight Cell..

I think they'll blend a bit of it into an episode like they did with the Barduck special. Either that, or they'll dedicate a whole episode to it.

I would love to see the Trunks special in Kai so Funimation has a chance to redub it and make it even more awesome, and if they do, the only scene I want left alone is where Trunks finds Gohan dead. I love that scene dubbed.
