Australia Finally Gets Movie 1,2 & 3... three years ago

Post by Tanooki Kuribo » Thu Jan 06, 2005 1:31 am

I'am kind of confused with this article....

"Unlike in North America, the wait between Australia getting the first three Dragonball Z movies and this one was a mere month, so fans are probably rejoicing. Pity it also rams home the point how déjà vu the DBZ movies are."

Thats from http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/874.php

So, in Australia they JUST (well you know) got movie 1,2,&3?

The voices are the same right? and the music, same?

Well, my sister got the australian DVD of the Trunks special back in... 2001. And since she insisted on watching the dub first, I know too darn well that it's the american voices and music. XD

For the sake of completion I watched the japanese version straight afterwards. >.>;;

well according to www.dragonballz.com.au (Australia's official website for Dragonball, Dragonball Z & Dragonball GT) the Release dates of the first 4 movies are as follows:
1. Dead Zone: Nov 14, 2001
2. The Worlds Strongest: Nov 15, 2001
3. The Tree of Might: Nov 15, 2001
4. Lord Slug: Dec 5 2001

The voices in movies 1-3 are the Ocean Cast and the Musical score is the Japanese music, The voices in movie 4 are the Funi Cast and the Musical Score is Funi's crap by "Disturbed" or whatever that band's name was... does that clear things up? Actually.... Why would they release the 2nd movie one day after the 1st and 3rd anyway? Meh whatever....

Edit: to add further comments to these release dates I checked the release dates for the actual series.... Madman had just finished releasing the Imperfect Cell Saga when they Released these movies....

I was trying to get my head around this, confused as to how a movie I saw a good four years ago, and obtained on DVD for myself in a similar time range, could have just now been released.

Then I actually looked at the page of the article.
