How do you watch the series? Just curious. I watch them on a 42" 1080p HDTV via PS3.

Lots and lots of drugs.

Just kidding. Weed isn't a drug, it's a plant. Just kidding.

My TV has been out of commission for a while now, so I just watch stuff on a 7" portable. :/ I plan to watch Kai on Blu-ray on mah PS3 with a large-but-not-huge-ass TV.

I watch it all on my Toshiba tablet. I can't dare watching it on the main HDTV with everyone in the house.

Why not watch it with them there? Because they don't want to watch it?

I watch it on a 40" 1080p HDTV with the PS3 hooked up to it.
To bad the Dragon Box is region 1 and 4 only, which means I cant watch it upscaled to 1080p on my European PS3.
I had to buy another region free DVD player that is able to upscale just to watch it, and still it isn't as good as on the PS3.

But Dragonball Z Kai on the other hand looks great! Thank god they made it region A and B!

Well... you can say some people are still embarrassed watching Japanese language cartoons with their parents. They didn't have problems when Grendizer was airing months ago, but it's due for them knowing it well enough to not commenting on me watching it.

26" HDTV with a HD Philips DVD player! I would use my Xbox 360 but I cant get the settings right, it's easier to use the DVD player because its region-free. :)

My laptop usually, but when my parents aren't home I watch it on the 46" TV, they are not that interested in it for some reason..

Also I watch Dragon Ball Z Kai on Nicktoons.com, if that counts.

I watch it on my 28" HDTV, though not in HD since the only HD systems I have are either upstairs or don't have HDMI cables.

I also mostly watch it on my 19" 16:10 monitor or my crappy old 19" 4:3 TV with slight discolouration on the top left hand corner.

I use DVD drives/players only, no Blu-ray just yet... :X

I watch it on my 32" LG LCD TV with my PS3 in either 16x9 or 4:3... usually 4:3.

I used to watch it in my living room where I have a 37" Samsung LCD with a Samsung home theater system, but since I got the PS3 a couple months ago... I have no need to watch it there.

I just close my eyes and play back whatever episode I want....in my head....with perfect HD Dragonbox Quality...and Dual 5.1 Surround Sound. That's right, I have every single episode memorized.

Looking through old vgconvos posts for pictures...

Here's the SDTV that was my primary TV in the old apartment. It's... uhh... I don't remember how big it is. 27", maybe? It has component, S-video, and composite inputs. Upscaling DVD player was hooked up via component. As you can see in this image, the TV has been demoted to "secondary"... it's up in our loft with the older video game systems and computers.

Image

This is the current setup. Most DVD/Blu-ray viewing is via the PS3 over HDMI (HDMI to the receiver, which in turn goes HDMI to the TV).

- Pioneer PDP-5020FD Kuro 50" Plasma TV
- Sony STRDG920 7.1 A/V Receiver
- Polk Audio RM6750 Speaker Set (Center / 2 Front / 2 Surround / Subwoofer)

Image

Occasionally I'll chill with things on the computer, but that's pretty rare. Main computer's monitor is something like 19"-20".

Image

All of our poor chairs are destroyed by the cats >.<

(Seems to be less of a "How You Watch DBZ" thread, and more of a "Here's my pimped-out viewing setup!" thread :P)

Hey Mike, I have one question... how clear and how colorful is the picture when on a Plasma TV? I personally can't tell the difference between a plasma TV and LCD TV, other than a plasma TV having a more "dynamic" look a scene is in motion.

A lot of it simply has to do with how well your TV is calibrated (if at all). Today's LCD TVs are perfectly adequate... but my Kuro eats them all for breakfast
