Regular Z on NickToons?
FIOS's schedule for NickToons tonight says at midnight there's three Garlic Jr episodes interspersed between two Kai episodes, and that all five altogether take up only an hour of run-time. o_O They list each episode at 10 or 20 minutes. This isn't supported by NickToons's website at all. Any reason for the scheduling error when NickToons shouldn't have access to non-Kai Z episodes?

Woah, really?! If they can go with the original score, I'm watchin'!

Re: Regular Z on NickToons?
I hope not, last thing Nicktoons needs to do is ruin Z.

So the arc that's Nicktoons going to air is the Garlic Jr arc?
Re: Regular Z on NickToons?
I checked with Bryan from NickAndMore. The only episodes that are airing will be the first three episodes of Dragon Ball Kai.

Thank you so much!
It was just someone at FIOS messing up then. I thought it was weird how they even had individual episode summaries listed for the Z episodes. Even Kai doesn't have individual episode summaries, just a brief synopsis of the series.

I wonder if that error is any indication that nicktoons will eventually air the original Z.

Re: Regular Z on NickToons?
Probably not anytime soon. FUNimation is marketing Kai as their "new hotness" for all the "9-year-olds born everyday." The original Z, as per their current release (DBox), is for the "hardcore fan" as they put it. They're probably not gonna waste air time on Z when it also seems that they consider Kai a clear improvement.DbzFanboy wrote:I wonder if that error is any indication that nicktoons will eventually air the original Z.
Why take steps backwards, right?

Re: Regular Z on NickToons?
Very true but with Funimation being the cow milking company they are its a possibility that after Kai finishes its run they try to bring the original Z out again and market it somewhat like this "You've seen Dragon Ball Z Kai but now experience the journey again in its Original Format!" lol

That would require showing it in Japanese. Likely without subtitles.DbzFanboy wrote:Very true but with Funimation being the cow milking company they are its a possibility that after Kai finishes its run they try to bring the original Z out again and market it somewhat like this "You've seen Dragon Ball Z Kai but now experience the journey again in its Original Format!" lol

Not unless they do a faithful dub of Z. It would catch the new fans and any of the old ones who still hope for a better dub.

No, I think they would use the Season Sets dub.DbzFanboy wrote:Not unless they do a faithful dub of Z. It would catch the new fans and any of the old ones who still hope for a better dub.

Why would anybody go back to Z after seeing Kai.

Maybe hardcore fans, but certainly not little kids watching NickToons.Rocketman wrote:Why would anybody go back to Z after seeing Kai.

Just punch yourself in the balls until you pass out. It's both shorter and less painful.MR.Mark wrote:Insomnia?Rocketman wrote:Why would anybody go back to Z after seeing Kai.
Re: Regular Z on NickToons?
Kai is what they need to be looking at since before money was put into getting Z to a fanbase and now it is Kai's turn. It needs to happen since Kai is re-introducing people to the series so that they are not shocked when dragonball online drops in the states and worldwide.
