Have you ever gotten chills from the powerful voice acting, combined with everything else? I have, but so much more so in the original japanese version, than the dub. The first time I saw movie 12, I got chills when Goku was powering up to SSJ3, and when Gogeta is formed and owns Janemba. I thought it was so cool! Especially when he glides over like a ghost

Another example from when I was younger, was when I first saw Vegeta explode with anger, after realizing Gohan took his dragon ball (Ocean Dub). Looking back the latter seems to be overacting (still nostalgic!), but the parts from japanese version stills stand the test of time.
Has anyone had similar experiences while watching the show, in any language? Something that really made the hairs on your neck stand up.
I wanted a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one.

The part when Goku was powering up to SSJ3 in movie 12 DEFIENTLY gave me goosebumps, and other thing that gave me goosebumps was Tapion's theme from movie 13 in japanese, it gave me chills down to my bones.

I used to get chills from watching the Japanese version of Gohan's SSj2 transformation during the Cell Game. The sudden explosion into his new form, the music, the scream, the lack of unnecessary inner monologue... it all fit together really well! It's probably still my favorite transformation in the series and, no matter how much I love Kai, I doubt the Kai version will live up to my expectations for that particular scene.
While it hasn't given me chills since my most recent viewing of that scene, I'll probably wait until FUNi releases the DBox with that episode on it before I take a look at it again and see if the wait will give that feeling back. It's the only scene in the entire series to ever do that to me. I've been "wow"ed before on numerous occasions with how cool something or someone is (like when Vegeta went all-out on ReaCoom right away), I've been really drawn into scenes (like when Goku makes his 20xKaiouken Kamehameha comeback against Freeza), and I've cheered on good guys when they slaughtered the competition (like SSj2 Gohan vs. the Cell Jrs.). However, only that one scene has actually given me chills.
While plenty of other great animations have given me all those other feelings and more, only Dragonball Z has a scene that gave me chills.

I really liked when Gohan killed Cell in Japanese the music and everything fit so well, it was in basic words Fantastic even the "Ginyu Transformation Theme" couldn't top the japanese music in the background when Gohan DESTROYED Cell.

I get chills every time watching Trunks go SSJ against Freeza. The music contributed in this A LOT. It didn't really have that effect in DB:Kai unfortunately...

When Chaozu blew himself up on Nappa. Like Bura, I prefer the Z version of that scene.

When Goku was powering up to use 3X Kaioken against Vegeta. To me, Masako Nozawa was at her best at that moment.
As well as when Goku began charging his Kamehameha."SANBAI KAIOKEN DAAAAA~~~~~!" --> "KAMEHAMEHA DAAAAA~~~~~!"
What else... oh, everytime Freeza speaks like a gentelman before he makes his kill.

The original version of Gohan's SSJ2 transformation, Kuririn's death in DB, when Piccolo dies saving Gohan, the Mind Power..ki flashback scene...I'm sure there are a few more, but I'm drawing a blank.

Suprisingly enough the "Over The Star" scene in the dub gave me chills. It's just that feeling of watching an accurate Dragon Ball dub I guess.

Hearing about other fans' chills is giving me chills, oddly enough.

I get chills whenever I see Goku go SSJ3 for the first time against Fat Buu.
(English dub version with Falconer's awesome SSJ3 music blasting in the background.)
Everytime I see this, I start to cackle with glee accompanied by my general remarks of: "Oooh" and "Yeah!"
Right around this time the mrs. usually tells me to keep it down.

That scene was wonderfully executed.

Peter Kelamis is the movie 3 gives me chills to this day. Anytime Goku shows up to the battlefield and he's clearly pissed but he just walks around all calm and nonchalant. Chills. In move 5 when Cooler raises his arm to attack Goku and he just appears behind him a grabs it? Super chills. In movie 4, when the two dudes charge at Goku and he just vanishes at the last second? So fucking awesome. I just love shit like that in anime. That super speed/vanishing stuff.
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.
If we're all here for a reason then I'm just visiting.

Vegeta's first Super Saiyan transformation in the FUNi dub used to give me chills, in no small part due to Bruce Faulconer's synth/piano piece. As much flak as Faulconer gets, I always loved that scene.
EDIT: All right, that's my 100th post! *Goes Super Saiyan to the aforementioned Faulconer track*
I can see their parachutes.

Trunks' Japanese SSJ Transformation in the History Of Trunks.
And then the dub version of Gohan killing Cell. Everything was so perfect.
And then, when Goku killed King Piccolo in the dub. That scream was FIERCE. It was when the screen goes black and you see the famous shot of Goku flying through Piccolo's stomach. It just added a feeling of finality to the whole thing. Epic scene.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Vegeta suddenly uttering the following phrase: "Trunks...my Trunks!" and rushing against a Cell he knows is much stronger to have his revenge.
That gave me chills to the bone, as Vegeta was still seen as an anti-hero at that point, and from not giving a shit about Bulma and Baby Trunks, he suddenly wants to defend him.
I never thought that there would be a speck of love in that short and angry man.
And, Oh, Kuririn's entrance in Movie 2. Anyone who doesn't think that it's cool is not cool himself.
And the king of awesome chilling entrances is Piccolo, of course. Noone can look so cool and calm as he to everyone's surprise comes to save the day (well, until Goku comes).

I couldn't find the clip online, so last night I uploaded a clip on youtube taken from the new iphone 4 recording my movie 12 dvd on my laptop.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrtfdWgKKWo
Another one that grabbed me but was not nearly intense is when Hori Hideyuki's does Ginyu's body change, especially when he attempts to swap with Vegeta.
I wanted a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one.
