As for the Mr. Popo cosplayer...I'm surprised some passer-bys didn't complain or beat him up for painting himself black. Nevertheless, he's got some real balls.

I wouldn't call it a blackface. He's painted himself to resemble a character that's not a different race, but a different being altogether.

If he was dressing a General Black, that would be a different matter.
