Dragon Ball Z DVD/Blu-Ray Releases Regions
Okay... here's the deal. I just got my PS3 delivered today and the first thing I tried to do was play one of my Dragon Box discs in it. Guess what? It didn't play. Apparently, I've missed out on the fact the the PS3 DVD/Blu-Ray player is not region free...
I tried to get some further info online, but I still seem to be a bit at a loss.
DVDs aside, I'm more concerned about Blu-Ray playback, because I can still use my PS2 to watch my precious DBOXes.
However, I really want to get my hands on the DBZ KAI Blu-Ray sets as well. What bothers me is that I might not be able to play them. :S I think I read somewhere that the BR player is not that limited, so I should be able to play most discs...
My question is this: does anybody who has an European PS3 console own any DBZ KAI BR discs and can they be played on it?
It would really suck if it turns out I won't be able to play them /which, to my devastation, seems kind of logical as they are North American releases like the DVDs/.

The US Kai DVDs are Region A and B, so it'll work.

Oh, sweet Jesus, thank you! That's what I thought myself, but I just needed someone to confirm it. Phew.
Thanks a bunch for the info, The Time Traveller.
Btw, is that the case with FUNi's BR Movie Double Features as well, as I'm thinking of getting them too?

No, the BD releases of the double features are locked to region A.

Shame. I guess I won't be cashing in on them then. Here's to hoping for a DBOX The Movies release then.
