Buu in future timeline?
Buu in future timeline?
Maybe I might have missed it, but was there ever a reason given as too why future Trunk's timeline didn't have Majin Buu? Theoretically, Buu should have emerged by the time future Trunks was 8. I realize that it is just a show and you can't expect every possible situation to be explained, but maybe there was an actual explanation for this?
Re: Buu in future timeline?
There wouldn't be enough energy for Boo, at least not on Earth. Every powerful being had been wiped out by the Cyborgs, at least Z Fighter powerful.

Re: Buu in future timeline?
And most of the humans on the planet had already been wiped out. So, Babidi probably took Buu`s ball to somewhere where he could gather more energy. What happened next is anybody`s guess... Even if Babidi managed to free Buu (if kaioshin failed to stop him), there is no reason for them (or just Buu after killing babidi) to return to Earth that quickly. The universe is a big place after all. And so, Buu and Babidi went unnoticed on Earth.Nazi Cola wrote:There wouldn't be enough energy for Boo, at least not on Earth. That is the most logical and plausible in universe answer.
Of course, the real reason is that Toriyama hadn`t come up with Buu on the Cell arc yet, and when the Buu arc came up, he didn`t remember that Buu and babidi should also exist in Trunks timeline.

I think the timeline page from one of the Daizenshuu suggests this explanation, too.Nazi Cola wrote:There wouldn't be enough energy for Boo, at least not on Earth. Every powerful being had been wiped out by the Cyborgs, at least Z Fighter powerful.

It'd be cool if someone could give a link to this page.Bussani wrote:I think the timeline page from one of the Daizenshuu suggests this explanation, too.Nazi Cola wrote:There wouldn't be enough energy for Boo, at least not on Earth. Re: Buu in future timeline?
I don't have a link to it, but I can confirm that the daizenshuu said there wasn't enough strong people to gather energy, so he was never released. Presumably, this means Kaioshin stopped him on Earth. It makes sense. The only person to grab energy from would be SSJ Gohan, who would have been three years and X zenkais short of only being half as strong as one android, whereas it took the power of more than one SSJ2 to release Boo.Nazi Cola wrote:It'd be cool if someone could give a link to this page.Bussani wrote:I think the timeline page from one of the Daizenshuu suggests this explanation, too.Nazi Cola wrote:There wouldn't be enough energy for Boo, at least not on Earth. I wonder if #16's absence from the timeline means Kaioshin recruited him. Boo got released prematurely, #16 self-destructed in order to take him out.

Re: Buu in future timeline?
I believe it was Daizenshuu 7 that explains this, on the time line page with the four histories.

Ah, thanks a bunch. You are cool.
I couldn't find it on Kanzentai for some reason, but I knew I saw it from somewhere.
