Kinda obsolete if you want to watch the series now, but should make a great collector's item.

Still too expensive for most of us
The item is listed as "Brand New" but according to the images that he posted, it's not.

It's so amazing that all of the episode content from that set has been released in America. If it hadn't, though, I'd jump on this without hesitation.

"Brand new" as in "these discs have never been played", not "brand new" as in "the box has never been opened".

Not the TV Special. That counts.
And yeah, this is a good price. I'd be all over it if I didn't already own this set. Comes with the Goku figure, too.

If I didn't already buy the first four US Dragon Boxes... and if I was filthy stinking rich.... I'd buy it.
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!
Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

Makes me feel sad and ripped off that they bastardized the Dboxes in the US and turned them into the bricksets.
The JP Dragonboxes are huge and glorious and amazing. People were all like "oh, well stores wouldn't carry something that big." Really?......Really? THATS the reason the US dragonboxes arent huge and awesome? I think not.
That guy is practically giving it away at 500. Wasn't it like 2000 or something in Japan when you had to order it?

It was 100,000 yen for the Z ones. (forgot the others)
And I have no idea why they're small here, but being much easier to put on a shelf doesn't hurt. I've never seen a giant-ass DVD boxset in a store though.

Yeah, I love paying $1000 at once for a giant box that doesn't even fit on my shelf. Why would I want seven smaller boxes that fit next to my other DVDs that I can buy one at a time for $35 each?

Wheel of Morality, turn turn turn. Tell us the lesson that we should learn.
And today's moral is... Moral #2!
"DVDs are stupid unless they're overpriced and in an oversized box, content be damned."

Because they are meant TO stand out. are you seriously limited to a tiny shelf? Why would I want my dragonboxes to blend in and match all of the other releases? I DON'T want them to, that's the point of having them.

I thought the point of the boxes was to be able to watch the show. It's a fucking children's cartoon from fifteen years ago, why would I put it on a pedestal?

OK, think realistically here.
Would you rather have big-ass boxes that cost over $500 a piece, or 7 smaller ones with THE EXACT SAME FOOTAGE for only $35 a piece?

I don't see why everyone is so happy that all they did was turn them into yellow bricks.
The point was that the JP release got an amazing way to hold the dvds and so many extras with them.
We got 7 yellow bricks following 9 orange bricks and the only extra is a piece of paper stuck to the back of the box. Do people not even care that we get the lesser of a product? Yeah you get to see the show but you get shorted on everything else.
@SuperSaiyan3Goku: Well since I can't have the music I want on the Dboxes....I'd go with the Dragonboxes from Japan, I've got the money for them. I'd rather have the original release of them that tiny brick knockoffs. We got cheated out of the extras from the JP releases and we got cheated out of all the extra footage.
