Risk of Not Getting Tarble in US Raging Blast 2?
Is Tarble confirmed as a playable character for the US version of Raging Blast 2? I know the Japanese version will have him, but the US never got the Jump Special licensed, so does it make sense for Tarble to be included? Personally, I really hope so, but I worry we won't get him :/
What do you guys think?

...Who started this rumor? I've seen this on another forum. Where was there any kind of implication of him not being in the US version?

I'd say the "risk" is non-existent.
I'm sure that Namco Bandai is keenly aware of the dedicated fan-base of the Japanese version that exists in North America. This is why they along with Atari earlier, keep the Japanese voices. It would be extra work for them to have to do to exclude him from the game, which wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.
Also, one way I think I can confirm that he won't be taken out is: It is possible for people with the American version of the game to play against people in Japan. If they took Tarble out, that would break the game, which, they wouldn't do.

There is a link on the front page that shows one of the Namco Bandai guys demoing RB2 on Game Trailers. In the video you can see Tarble(and every character in the roster) on the selection screen and all the audio is in English. I think this confirms his US release.

Gogeta was in Budokai 3 long before his movie was released here. I don't think it's gonna be a problem.

Remember that the Jump special was streamed internationally, with options for English subs. That's more than the OVA ever got, but we're definitely getting that and Hatchihyakku and stuff.sumpter360 wrote:I know the Japanese version will have him, but the US never got the Jump Special licensed, so does it make sense for Tarble to be included?

If Janemba can be in Buu Furry when his movie was not released for another two years then I don't see the big issue. I'm looking forward to hear his dub voice.

I think Uubs voice actor could fit pretty good, if he makes it a bit rougher.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:I'm trying to guess who it could be.Hellspawn28 wrote:If Janemba can be in Buu Furry when his movie was not released for another two years then I don't see the big issue. I think this rumour is based on Neko Majin-related stuff being missing from past games outside Japan (though I can't remember whether those were released in the US first, then added for Japan, or deliberately taken out.)

Re: Risk of Not Getting Tarble in US Raging Blast 2?
I just REALLY hope they don't give him a whiny ass "Kid Gohan" type voice. I could see how a more erious deeper Uub type voice would do good.
Re: Risk of Not Getting Tarble in US Raging Blast 2?
I think we are past removing material from games. So now we speculate who will dub him. I hope it's Johnny Yong Bosch, just as an in-joke.
Why would they use an accurate voice for a five year-old? What are you trying to instigate?LeprikanGT wrote:I just REALLY hope they don't give him a whiny ass "Kid Gohan" type voice.

I mean don't make him sound all scared and whimpy and 'useless sounding'. Every time Gohan would just stand on the battle field blankly staring with him mouth wide open whimpering, I always wished he'd get what was coming to him. Tarble on the other hand I like and I know hes a smaller guy and thats what the smaller guys usually do. [Gohan, Krillin, Chaotzu, etc]AgitoZ wrote:I think we are past removing material from games. Re: Risk of Not Getting Tarble in US Raging Blast 2?
That's because Gohan, Goten, and Goku all have the same voice actors in Japanese, and Gohan and Goku's voices in English as children were identical.
Tarble is Vegeta's brother, most likely his voice will be similar to Vegeta's.

Gohan sounded like a crybaby because that is what he was, a little kid fighting blood thirsty aliens when he clearly he was over his head. Also what would a "useless" voice sound like? I don't think you can do anything with your voice to sound "useless".LeprikanGT wrote: I mean don't make him sound all scared and whimpy and 'useless sounding'. Table is short but so is Vegeta. FUNi wouldn't give characters certain voices only due to their height.
While we are it why did you bring the voice of Gohan into the conversation? If you think it's inappropriate why bring it up? FUNi now tries to be as accurate as they can with voices, I think they know not to give him a kid's voice.

Well not literally useless, but if youre shaking with your mouth wide ass and quivering everytime someone throws a punch....you don't have much going for you. I was so glad they show finally reached the Android arc because he finally grew a pair and started acting like an adult.
Re: Risk of Not Getting Tarble in US Raging Blast 2?
This has to do with Gohan's character not his voice. This just makes it even more weird why you brought it up as it has nothing to do with Table.LeprikanGT wrote:Well not literally useless, but if youre shaking with your mouth wide ass and quivering everytime someone throws a punch....you don't have much going for you. Re: Risk of Not Getting Tarble in US Raging Blast 2?
The same voice actor for Gohan was used through the Saiyan-arc to the Cell-arc.
You're complaining about Gohan being wimp as a kid, to insinuate someone being a wimp, the voice actor has to sound like, a wimp.
I don't see the confusion here.

Re: Risk of Not Getting Tarble in US Raging Blast 2?
It was Supersonic Warriors 2, where Neko Majin was deliberately taken out of the US release. However, this was done by Atari, who don't have the license to DB games anymore.ThunderPX wrote:I think this rumour is based on Neko Majin-related stuff being missing from past games outside Japan (though I can't remember whether those were released in the US first, then added for Japan, or deliberately taken out.)
