The games that go right into your TV?

Post by nathantheguitarist » Sun Oct 17, 2010 7:59 pm

Ok, so searching on here, either I didn't search well-enough or no ones mentioned these. In America, we have this thing: Dragon Ball Z Controller with 3-in-1 TV Games by Jakks Pacific

What are the games in this? Any screenshots? I assume it's shit, but I'm still curious. :o

Also, Japan got a couple of first-person motion controlled things? What are these? Screens? More info? Are they still for sale lol? I saw two threads that talked about these, but they weren't really in-depth and any pics were dead. Apparently a couple peeps here ordered 'em!

All DragonBall interactive games were released under the "Let's! TV Play". Each game contains a simple circuit box that connects directly to the television using A/V cables. The user then places "Dragon Bands" on their fingers and can wirelessly control the action with their hands. Listed below are all of the DragonBall-related "Let's! TV Play" interactive video games:

I bought that game for like an hour, and returned it to get movie 12 on DVD.

It's a crappy pinball game and then two I cannot remember, but not really worth the buy unless you just wanted to display it.

I have one of those Jakks ones. I reviewed the fighting game on it... sort of.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

They should just put hyper dimension on these things.

Gotta love that Sega Genesis/MIDI version of "Rock the Dragon" on the main menu.

DBZ bootlegs have the movie 9 cover with the pioneer movie 2 description on the back and the disc actually has a Japanese soap opera in MEPG2.

Finally watched that video review. If you order with a bunch of other stuff through amazon, for $6.89 it actually looks worth it. The joystick is fucktarded, but you couldn't really complain I guess. Hell, I'd bet those things end up in thrift stores all the time.

Now what about those Kamehameha games? Are they as cool as they sound, or are they just the equivalent of the throw-away-cheap tv games?

I have the Jakk's set. I was able to beat the fighting game easily, pinball was a bit more difficult, and I didn't bother with reverse brick breaker.

I have it. The sound is so NES-or-worse bad that I have yet to figure out what's going on ever, even with someone sitting beside me explaining. -_-

Is that one of the JP Kamehameha games, or the 3-in-1 thing that's been covered already...?

The three-and-one thing. With the Rock the Dragon midi.
I'm... not sure why I didn't specify...
