Official (No-Joke) "DOOMRIDER" Anticipation Thread
(In case you have no idea what this is, check out the official site)
No, I'm not kidding. All tracks are complete. From this point on, it's all compiling, encoding, testing, wash, rinse, repeat. Got a little cleaning to do, but yeah.
We're shooting for next week (or the week after, depending on what kinds of difficulties I run into) for a release. It also depends upon AMVorg getting the extra local host space up and running, because there's no way I'll be able to host this behemoth .
To quench the thirst that exists for some of you, here's a new bunch of screen shots, one from each video. I've tried to pick something new from each of them that hasn't been seen before, but whatever. Editor(s) are listed underneath.
Looking forward to it..!

How big do you estimate it will be?VegettoEX wrote:It also depends upon AMVorg getting the extra local host space up and running, because there's no way I'll be able to host this behemoth .
So its finally here . I had actually forgot about it until I read this thread, forgetting made the wait much shorter. I'm sure it will be good!

I'm hoping to have a sexy 2-pass XviD encode that will push the 100 MB limit AMVorg offers. I'll probably encode a standard MPEG-1 version to pass around to friends that may not be able to play XviDs properly (god knows even I can't, half the time, on my 850 P3). It'll be bigger than the XviD, though.
Technically, this project has been in the works since... 2003 ;_;.

I would actually pay good money for a DVD of those videos. Come on, please?
Why not sell them here? If your worried about legal issues, you could just say who ever donates to the site would get a free DVD of the videos, this way technically your not selling them, there free.
You've just created a cash cow, milk it...MILK IT! ::Shakes angry fist::

Why's it called "DOOMRIDER" again? Will said doom be ridden into DB and GT MVs?

Even though you only edited one track, you lazy little rascal, you.
Anyway, mucho anticipation! When was the last time I saw a good DB MV?
With all the build-up, though, I'm expecting something awesome. And thanks in advance for the MPEG encode... My poor little laptop just won't handle XViD.
