Am I the only one...

Post by LeprikanGT » Fri Nov 26, 2010 1:14 pm

Who is really tired and irritated by how incredibly grossingly out of date the 'official' Dragonball Z website is? I mean pretty much everything they are showing on the main page is from 2 or 3 releases ago.

I'm sure Funi has the money to hire ONE person to make sure things stay up to date.

"But don't underestimate our hero - Goku is no ordinary 5 year old!"

Yeah, I don't think Funimation's Dragon Ball sites were ever in date. They've always been terrible.

I would go to their website to check if they did anything different, like when the Season Sets were being released, if they updated the pictures to look like them, or when Dragon Boxes came out, to see if the pictures got updated. Nope, nothing. Bu whatever, what do I need their site for? I have this for all my info! lol

lol Right, I mean that's probably why they haven't updated it in forever. Although they probably should since Dragon Ball hasn't really died out. If anything it's just grown in popularity IMO. I mean they're still coming out with Dragon Boxes, DB Kai, DBZ Kai, Dragon Ball SD, various video games and much more.

Why go on the official website when you have Daizenshuu EX for the latest DBZ info :P?

This website is pretty outdated too, and it's still awesome.

The website outline, the boards, and the way things are done is pretty outdated. Only the news is current.

The boards? As in the forums? They look pretty modern to me, and people post on them every day. I agree with you about the website outline, though.

The difference being that, unlike FUNimation folks, I'm not a full-time employee that gets paid to do this :).

So suffer without your RSS feeds and validated markup until one of you wants to kick in more than you can likely afford :P.

How is it outdated? I went to the site and was met with ads for the Dbox and Kai. It also said on the bottom how all nine Orange Boxes were available. Even the video on the front page is a trailer for the next Kai set.

I just don't like the design, as it says on the bottom it hasn't been updated since 2006!

There's also still a Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT official website.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Website features like that are actually free and very easy to do. I think you're just too lazy to get Daizex a complete makeover ;)

And yes the forums are not "out of date", they're just generic. PHPbb is free software afterall, unlike vB.

Instead of complaining about the site design. How about people who are able to create website designs, create a redesign for the main site or forum or both and make a competition out of it. With a decent prize at the end of the competition.

It's either that or just live with how the site looks.

That's assuming that I had the time to complete an integration of a new site design. Which I don't.

That's also assuming that there aren't some pretty amazing plans for the future of the site. Which there are.

That's also assuming it will get done. Which it will. At some point. In the future.

The Wiki agrees. Ever so dearly does it so. :)
