Dragon Ball Z Movie 11 Drama CD

Post by 80sguy » Fri Dec 03, 2010 3:50 am

Just kind of requesting here, but does anyone have a high-res scan of the cover for the DBZ Movie 11 Drama CD? It was bascially the audio track for the 11th movie. It's listed on the site here as DragonBall Z - Sûpâ-Senshi Gekiha!! Katsu No wa Ore Da. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, it's not exactly the most widely-available CD. I've only seen it listed on auction sites a handful of times in my life (well, since auction sites existed...), so I'm super glad I picked it up so many years ago when I did.

How's the audio quality? Is it the same as the Dragon Box The Movies version?

I've been meaning to compare for a long while (to see if it's actually stereo or just another doubled-up mono, general quality vs. Dragon Box)... but suffice it to say, it's very damn great sounding.

Unfortunately, it's also DBZ movie 11. So, eh.

Alrighty. Thank you. I'd been wondering for quite a while.

I know it's not the most widely avalible, but I had a harder time coming up with a picture for this one than any other Dragon Ball CD. I have an mp3 rip of it though, but I come across it I'd pick it up anyway (collection right).

The sound is pretty good and clear though. Intresting piece. Thanks again for the image!

Hmm, is that a re-recording of the events of movie 11 watered down, or is that really just basically the same audio from movie 11?

Same audio, but with stereo mixed BGM's. Since Dragon Box and single DVD contain the mono audio only, that's the greatest value of this drama CD. The worst drawback is that you can't sync the sound with the DVD footage without heavy editing. I did it and I will upload that if the rule allows, but I think it doesn't.

Samples would certainly be cool. :) I'm curious as to how good the quality of the CD audio is.

These are the samples. I increased the sampling rate for editorial reason, but it does not affect the quality I guess.
