Australian domestic release of Season One Part three?
Hell Dragon Ball fans,
I am impatiently awaiting the next Australian domestic release of Dragon Ball Z Kai. Do any of my fellow Aussies on the forum know when this will be coming out? I just cannot wait the watch the cast interviews!

I am pretty sure the American release is compatible with Australian Blu-ray players. The first two collections were, so I certainly hope so (since I ordered it).

Did anyone notice they re-did the cover for the Region 4 release
. Much better than the U.S one in my opinion, even if it's more of an Artificial human Arc illustration.

I did notice that, DragonBoxZTheMovies. Almost makes me want to buy the Australian version.

It doesn't look like an Artifical Humans arc illustration to me. It's just good ol' Piccolo.DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:Did anyone notice they re-did the cover for the Region 4 release. Much better than the U.S one in my opinion, even if it's more of an Artificial human Arc illustration.
I must say though, Madman is really wowing me with their Kai sets. Usually, I'll have at least one issue with some aspect of the packaging, design or video quality on a Madman release (the double features are one example), but not in this case.

Is Australia strict or something with their rating system? Most of the anime on Madman seems to be rated M.

If it wasn't for the steep price (almost double what I'm paying on Amazon) I would have no problem picking these up.
Madman's Blu Ray releases are carbon copies of their US counterparts, because thanks to HD we don't have to worry about converting NTSC to PAL (which Madman was absolutely woeful at). They lost me a long time ago, but it's good to see them finally lift their game.

The rating system is just different. The "M" rating in Australia is not as harsh as its American counterpart. However, do I personally disagree with giving Z Kai that rating. I think giving it a "PG" rating would be more suitable, but I'm not up in arms about the rating it was given. This is going too far, in my view*.Perfect wrote:Is Australia strict or something with their rating system? Most of the anime on Madman seems to be rated M.
*Times have changed, though. The Trunks/Barduck double feature was rated "PG".

I own the Region 4 version of the 1st DVD of ZKai and, I'm no expert on video quality etc., but during the Eye Catches the lines are always jagged. I'm unsure if this is compression or something but is it like this on Part 2 and can we expect it on Part 3? I'm pretty sure it is not present on any of the U.S releases or the Blu-Ray.

Could be an artifact from some sort of deinterlacing, which is unusual since the US releases had a progressive encode.DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:I own the Region 4 version of the 1st DVD of ZKai and, I'm no expert on video quality etc., but during the Eye Catches the lines are always jagged.
