Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
I may have started this project long ago, but then I got sidetracked, but now I'm starting it again, and will start with the unreleased music from DB Movie 1. I'm in the process of ripping it now, and will upload it when I'm done.

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
Excellent, I can't wait! I've always loved the music from DB Movie 1. (Well, that's true of the whole series, but...)
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
Arrrrgh! You better be no kidding!!! I wanted to recreate music from DB series from scratch, but daaaaamn, I'm lazy and have a lot of work to do in my job and with my professional music project.
Sooooo, do it!!! If you'll rip that, I'll buy you ice cream.

Actually, I've been working on this as well. I hope we are not doing the same pieces.

kei17, are you ripping them from the LDs or FUNi's DVDs?

There's no LD release of DB. I am using FUNi's DVDs. Since I love the music from DB movie 3, I am especially working on it.linkdude20002001 wrote:kei17, are you ripping them from the LDs or FUNi's DVDs?
*I've got only DB season 1 & 5. Does anyone have season 4? There is one track I really want...

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
I don't have any of the "season" sets except for DBGT "season" one, so, sorry... Can't help ya there.
And I guess I just assumed the DB movies were released on LD, since all the DBZ movies were.

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
I have all 5 seasons, and the movie 1 re-releases to work with as the other 3 movies DVD's ether have a 5.1 track, but can't get the music (movie 2) or don't have one at all (movies 3 & 4). I believe that all of movie 4's music has been released though.kei17 wrote:There's no LD release of DB. I am using FUNi's DVDs. That's great. Can you upload ac3 files from episode 112 and 118? I want one of the Piccolo's themes played when Piccolo regained his youth.DB_Fan1991 wrote:I have all 5 seasons, and the movie 1 re-releases to work with as the other 3 movies DVD's ether have a 5.1 track, but can't get the music (movie 2) or don't have one at all (movies 3 & 4). Seconded. Chaozu's Theme is my favourite unreleased Dragonball BGM by far.JulieYBM wrote:Oh man, I hope you can grab a good quality version of the Chaozu theme! Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
Here's the thing that I don't understand:
Why is it that they don't release music that plays very often in the tv series, yet they release music that only played 3-4 times throughout the series. (one released BGM in DB Movie 2 "Oozaru Goku's Rampage" was never used in the TV series AT ALL).

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
That's because there are only few professionals who do the selection of music for anime soundtrack CDs, and they are almost not interested in Dragon Ball. They just don't know which pieces played frequently and impressively. As a result, for example, they always include a freaking completely-unused piece (which has played in neither the actual movies nor the TV series!!) on DBZ soundtrack CDs. I have been always irritated and annoyed by that. Now I am seriously thinking about bringing forth a plan of complete soundtrack CD BOX (or unreleased tracks only CD) to Columbia Music Entertainment.SolarBlade52 wrote:Here's the thing that I don't understand:

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
That'd be interesting. But more CDs to sell means more money for them, so maybe they'd actually go for it. Who knows.

And here it is the unreleased score of DB movie 1. Like most of the FUNi DVD rips there are sound effects still there how much depends on the piece. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BMJN88TN

I'm ALL for this! I currently don't own any of the Season Sets, but there's a ton of BGM that I would love to have!
PM if you have anything to sell!

Great! Did you use the rear channels? The two rear channels tend to have less sound effects.DB_Fan1991 wrote:And here it is the unreleased score of DB movie 1. Like most of the FUNi DVD rips there are sound effects still there how much depends on the piece. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BMJN88TN

Re: Dragon Ball Unreleased Music Project
Cool. My favourite track from DB movie 1 is "Gourmeth's Army Sets Out", but it never played in the TV series, so I was kinda despairing of getting it. Now I am really glad! Thank you so much.DB_Fan1991 wrote:Yes I did use the rear channels.kei17 wrote:Great! Did you use the rear channels? The two rear channels tend to have less sound effects.
By the way, I noticed that "Pasta's Bombs" sounds like an unreleased piece in Doraemon, composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi too.
