Common Buildup Music

In the anime, there's some buildup music used from time to time. It's a few second piece that may not have a real title, but here are some of the scenes it's used in.

. When Vegeta is about to take Goku, Gohan, and Kuririn into Freeza's spaceship.
. When Freeza is questioning Nail
. When Piccolo first lands in Ginger Town after fusing with Kami and Cell is about to appear.
. When a wounded Burdock is on his way to Planet Vegeta and is having visions of the future. (TV special)
. In a filler scene after Cell has absorbed a bus full of athletes.

It's minor, but in some ways I consider it to be Kikuchi Shunsuke's best work. It has so much menace behind it that the hairs on the back of my neck actually stand up and I get chills.

Does anyone know what piece of BGM I'm referring to?

You bet! I positively love that one. It's M1002, and it was composed for a scene in Movie 3, Super Deciding Battle for the Entire Earth, just after the opening credits, where Shen Long is summoned.

It also played when Gohan defeats Cell once and for all.
Sadly, that was the last time that piece played.
