what is with the PANTS?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Better get used to it. =D

And didn't you know? Kami blessed the trousers of all the Z-senshi with invulnerability before they went to fight Nappa & Vegeta so that they would at least die an honourable death. =D And that blessing never wore off.

Well, the pants aren't always indestructible. There was that one time where Pilaf destroyed Gokuu's pants...

This all brings up a question I've been thinking about for a while.
Why doesn't Toriyama-sensei draw wrists? Everyone (with the exception of babies) has wrist bands, even the non-fighters. Even Mr. Satan has them
I have never read any other Toriyama manga so I don't know if this is just a DB thing.

"Um...Vegeta, you're already dead."

Coming from an artist's point of view, drawing wrists is pretty annoying (at least to me). I find myself always drawing some sort of watch, band, or glove whenever I draw someone. And after all, Dragon Ball is a martial arts manga.

As for the pants...not only does it add to the effect of a warrior (think of most martial arts or fighting movies), but it also keeps it appropriate.

What about Reecoome?

Besides, would you really want to know what may or may not be lurking in Piccolo's pants? Or Majin Buu for that matter? Which leads me to another question. Frieza and Cell are nude but Buu has pants...why?

Because he chooses to! Or Bibidi created him with a pair of trousers.

If you'd like to continue posting on this forum, I'm going to have to ask you to re-read the forum rules. We have rules set in place for a reason. Thanks :).

Also, for everyone else... an image is not a response. Just like the rules say, if you don't have anything to say, you don't have anything to say. I'm so god-damn sick of that stupid "wizard" image... it wasn't that funny the first billion times.

In Buu's case, a wizard really did do it. He's that way, while Freeza and Cell aren't, just because they were designed that way. Makes him seem more like a magical creature.

Buu never seemed magical to me. He seemed cheap.

"Behold, I am the wizard Bibidi, and I've created a monster that's somehow stronger then anything else in the entire universe, even the gods! Furthermore, I've cast a spell which will stop any coherent explanation as to how I made Buu so strong from ever being revealed! How can I do all this you ask? Simple! Anime magic! Woooooooo!"

FOR THE LOVE OF ATHENA, THINK OF THE CAT GIRLS!

*Ahem*

Because pants are underrated.

Buu's pants aren't real pants. They're just part of his gelatinous pink form. He could make them different pants or a different color anytime he wants, I believe.
