How old were you when you first got into Dragon Ball?

I was around eight or so, when the anime started to air, that's when I first heard of and got into Dragon Ball. I'm only asking as My neighbours son asked me what it was so I lent him the first season of Dragon Ball Z and after he watched an episode he gave it back as he never got into it. He's older than I was when I started, i'm just wondering if it's more of an older generation thing?

Maybe you have to be a bit young to get into this show.....or feel like you've got the time to sit through it all.

I was 15. Maybe still 14, because it was in the summer and that's when my birthday is. But 15 is a better estimate. And I got into it via a few friends who were a little younger than me (all in the 11-14 range, IIRC). So it definitely can appeal to a slightly older crowd.

I believe it was the summer of 2000, which would of made me 8 at the time.

I believe I started watching the dub frequently around the time the Cell games aired on Cartoon Network, which would be 2002, maybe? Which would make me 12 or so. I had seen it before, but would not have called myself a fan by any stretch.
