Artwork of the Dragon Ball manga
Hey I'm dylanmorgan17,
I am studying Bacholar of Visual Arts at SCU Lismore, Australia and just wanted to know how exactly Akira Toriyama makes the artwork he makes. I wanna know the materials he uses for colour images and inks for the usual black and white pages as silly as this may sound.
I am aware the artwork of Toriyama is very inconsistent from arc to arc, so just give as much analysis you are aware of from early days of Dragon Ball to end of Z. I am currently practicing drawing the artworks of Toriyama and Kishimoto as they are my favourite manga artists and I'd love nothing more than to create artwork like he does. Feel free to put up links to samples/scans of his work and the lot (unless these are licensed).
Thanks heaps.

Oh, wow! That's the first I've ever heard of this! I need to get ahold of it someday.

There are some pictures in the "Akira Toriyama - The World Special" showing him at his workstation and the tools he uses. It may gave you a general idea:

Re: Artwork of the Dragon Ball manga
Thank you for the help everyone. I have researched Akira Toriyama-The World Special and the Apprentice Mangaka and I also came across some other book of Akira Toriyama Illustrations that I found on Amazon. The problem is though that all these publications onle seem to be available in Japanese. Can someone please email me some scanlations to dylbergrox@gmail.com? I don't cheack my gmail religiously so if someone is able to do this for me then please let me know with a forum reply then I will know to cheack.
Thank you, this will be very much appreciated
Any three of these books will help me out heaps

Re: Artwork of the Dragon Ball manga
If any of you are thinking why you should do scanlations for me (what do I get out of this?) then in return I will publish my very own dragonball fanfics as web comics along with a Naruto fanfic that I am working on. Also if you do scanlations for me then I will personally make scans of my little projects however perfect they may and send them back to you.
Here are my fanfic ideas as a motivational tool:
1. A webcomic fanfic/back history of the saiyajin/tuffle conflict
2. Also writing this fanfic into my own light novelisation
3. Not related to Dragonball but a Naruto fanfic
4. Also not related to Dragonball, my own comics with my own stories which I will try to publish. These may contain a Dragonball/toriyama influence though.
