Places in London that sell Dragon Ball Merchanise?
Places in London that sell Dragon Ball Merchanise?
Does anyone know any good places for manga, figures, etc, as I'll be visiting London this weekend. I was just wondering as I found a site a while back, but can't remember it's name that listed shops in London that sell Japanese goods, like the Gashapon prizes etc.
Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force
If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure
If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me

I don't live in London, but the only one I know of is Forbidden Planet. I think they only sell Manga

Some stalls in Camden Market sell DB things, often just key chains and little knickknacks. They tend to be bootlegs too, but they’re really cheap and of quite good quality.
Here's a list of Anime shops in the UK, scroll down for London. Though, I don't know when this list was updated, so some of those shops might be gone.

The FP in Glasgow also sells toys, music, video games and the like as well as Manga. I'd imagine the London shop would do the same.SSJSteve wrote:I don't live in London, but the only one I know of is Forbidden Planet. I think they only sell Manga.

No problem, let me know if you find any stores that sell Dragonball stuff - I go to London fairly often and would love the excuse to pick up more figures.

Oh, I didn't mean the whole shop, just Dragon Ball in generalStarRot wrote:The FP in Glasgow also sells toys, music, video games and the like as well as Manga. I'd imagine the London shop would do the same.

Oh, right, sorry.
Every so often the have the odd DB thing, but yeah, mainly they just focus on whatever moe-blob, flavour of the month Anime is popular ... as do most Anime stores.
No love for the older titles, makes me sad. v_v

No need to apologize
. Should have made it clear in my original post!
It's a shame they don't sell anything else apart from Manga on their site, it would be great buy from a shop in the UK. Importing stuff can get annoying.

I feel like I need to say that my granddad almost bought a monkey there, got a parrot instead.StarRot wrote:Some stalls in Camden Market sell DB things, often just key chains and little knickknacks. They tend to be bootlegs too, but they’re really cheap and of quite good quality.
You could get aaaanything there over 20 years ago...
I remember Googling for anime stores in London and found some but I need to look for them again now.
I know TokyoToys have a shop there, somewhere, check their site. I have no idea if they have Dragon Ball stuff in store though.
Also, London has a China Town, it might be worth looking up.

If you really wanna buy craploads of anime stuff, save your money and go down to MCM Expo in May or something.
Also, I'd stay away from TokyoToys since I heard some bad stuff about them.
To be honest, you're better off asking on AnimeUKNews.net

Tell me about it. =CSSJSteve wrote:Importing stuff can get annoying.
I love buying things from YahooJapan but I just wish more sellers would ship internationally. Proxy fees can get pricey.
I would have picked the monkey! ;pThe Time Traveller wrote:I feel like I need to say that my granddad almost bought a monkey there, got a parrot instead.
You can still find a lot of cool things in Camden Market. It's like a paradise for me.
I've been in there before. A lot of the stuff is really overpriced. I've also heard rumours that the sell bootleg figures, though I don't know if that's true.Paradox295 wrote:Also, I'd stay away from TokyoToys since I heard some bad stuff about them.

I've been to London lots of times but never to Camden, I have to save and save and go in a year or so, on a Dragon Ball and anime merch hunt myself.StarRot wrote:I would have picked the monkey! ;pThe Time Traveller wrote:I feel like I need to say that my granddad almost bought a monkey there, got a parrot instead.

Remember those Dragon Ball Z t-shirts that Uniqlo started selling last month?
They have a Uniqlo shop in London. I couldn't tell you where exactly as I only found it by complete chance but I can definitly confirm it's existence as I've visited it before. After purchasing the Freeza shirt through their site, I can say that that shirt is worth getting at the very least.

You should check out Piccadilly Circus and Portobello Road too, lots of cool stuff there. Not really Dragonball or anime related items, but still a lot fun and quirky things to discover. The Time Traveller wrote:I've been to London lots of times but never to Camden, I have to save and save and go in a year or so, on a Dragon Ball and anime merch hunt myself.StarRot wrote:I would have picked the monkey! ;pThe Time Traveller wrote:I feel like I need to say that my granddad almost bought a monkey there, got a parrot instead.

I think I’ll pass on the monkey, what with the whole “ripping off faces” thing. ;p

I might check out some Japanese bookshops, there's plenty of those, right?
