Dragon Ball Z Sagas Platform Differences?
So I'm the one weirdo with no taste that actually enjoyed Dragon Ball Z Sagas. I had played it on the Xbox long ago but now I'm going back and collecting all of the DBZ PS2 games. I was wondering is the PS2 version significantly more glitchy than the rest? I know Sagas is kind of a mess in terms of glitches but I remember someone saying the PS2 version was even more glitchy back in my Gamefaqs days. Is this true?

Well, I've never played the Xbox version, so I really can't compare the two.
I can, however, say that Sagas on the PS2 was pretty glitchy. I had quite a few glitches happen during my playthrough of the game, some which actually prevented me from progressing further in the game. One that I specifically remember is when I was fighting #17 in a city with Trunks, and at some point during the battle, #17 started glitching around the battlefield really bad. He would keep going outside that invisible wall, preventing me from hitting him.
So yeah, it's probably true since the PS2 has worse processing power than the Xbox. I bet all versions of the game were pretty bad in terms of glitches, though.

Yeah you're right, it's really hard to compare how glitchy one version is over the other. That glitch was in the Xbox version too I'm fairly confident. Luckily I only had one glitch while playing through the Xbox version but it was similar to yours. Jheese vanished from the battle field and I had to reset. Honestly if that's the only kind of thing that happens in the PS2 version they might just be on par.Shiyonasan wrote: So yeah, it's probably true since the PS2 has worse processing power than the Xbox. I don't know how it is between Xbox and PS2, but my PS2 version was less glitchier than my friends Gamecube version. We had to constantly reset because the game would freeze during the Android fight. Personally I don't think they are that different from each other, despite which version you own you are going to hit a lot of glitches.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I remember I renting the game for the PS2 on the week it came out and getting the Game Cube version for my 14th birthday (I forgot to remove it off my list at the time), I remember both versions not being any different.

First GT Transformation... and now Sagas! Man... you and I do have a weird taste in games! We enjoy the games that everybody else hates!!Turtle Marked Stone wrote:So I'm the one weirdo with no taste that actually enjoyed Dragon Ball Z Sagas. Sadly, the PS2 was also glitchy. The characters would disappear completely when they get hit with a strong attack ((Most notably Vegeta's lightning attack)), someone stuck during grabbing and throwing, the camera zooms out beyond it's limit, and there was the infamous character spinning endlessly above your head glitch.

I recently bought the Gamecube version for about three dollars.
The only reason I did this was because I remembered having some fun playing as Brolly.
I'm not sure it was worth it.

Oh well, for $3, it's at the very least an addition to your collection.Sinestro wrote:I recently bought the Gamecube version for about three dollars.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Sagas Platform Differences?
Well one difference between versions was the Gamecube version was mysteriously $10 cheaper than the other 2 for no apparent reason. So I bought that one.
Overall I loved the game.
It's not the best Dragon Ball Z game ever, but for what it was I liked it. I only experienced one glitch in my entire playthrough; I beat Cell and the game didn't go to the ending cut-scene. I just ran around the battleground. Had to reset. 2nd time was a charm though.
Overall I loved the game.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Sagas Platform Differences?
I have the PS2 version and it is very glitchy. I've only experienced one significant glitch throughout the whole time I've played Sagas. When Jeice and Burter did that cyclone attack (Did it have a name?), They just disappeared and I had to start the level over. About the Cell disappearance, I wouldn't know if the Cell disappearing glitch is in the PS2 version because I never got past the level when Vegeta and Trunks were in the Hyperbolic chamber.
