DragonBall Season Sets vs Dragon Box Screencap Comparison

Hey everyone, I'm kinda a person that likes to see comparisons between things. So I have all the Dragon Boxes, (the Japanese ones) but I don't have the Season sets for DragonBall. So if anyone could provide some screens from there, I can gladly provide screens from the Japanese box.

Screenshots don't do it justice. For better comparisons, you have to see them in motion.
In my opinion, the Dragon Boxes are better in terms of presentation and picture quality.

Screen shots are not one of the best ways to compare. Sure there are plenty of differences in the stills, but a fair and logic comparison would be to watch them in motion. After watching both videos in motion, it is clear that the Dragon Boxes have the best picture quality.

I don't see what you're complaining about. Even screen caps show that the DragonBox footage looks much better. It's not like anyone is disagreeing with you.

Anyway, for the OP it would be best to give specific images and ask for captures of those. A quick search of the old threads will reveal tons of comparison images. Unless there is something specific you wanted compared, there really isn't much more that can be learned from comparison images.

Though the Dragonboxs win by a mile I have to say the season sets look pretty good in their own way. The way people go on about the detail loss you would think every screen looks like this. Also while we're on the subject of screen shots can someone tell me what "glaring" is? I heard DBK has a bit of it. So I was wondering if anyone could post some examples?

I don't understand why on Earth you need to respond with an attitude. Someone specifically requested screen shots and they were provided to them. As was just explained, sure, video clips also help... but really? Attitude in response to something so trivial?

That looks more like a Kai redrawn scene.

While the better picture definitely goes to the Dragon Boxes (more detail, full-framing), I do like the fact that Season 1 of the DBZ Season Set lacks that weird pinkish tone that DBox 1 seems to have.

Am I the only one who noticed that he's asking for Dragon Ball screencaps, but everyone is talking about Dragon Ball Z? I'm interested in seeing the differences between the blue bricks and their DBox counterparts. In case we never get DBoxes for the original and GT, I want to know what I'm missing out on.

The screenshots between the season sets and the Dragon boxes do help to compare, but I would like to suggest another method. Why not compare the two by watching them in motion? I did that method and it really helped. I came to the conclusion that the Dragon Boxes have the most beautiful picture quality due to frame by frame restoration.
