The questionable replayability of Supersonic Warriors

Post by kenisu3000 » Thu Mar 31, 2005 11:19 pm

Does anybody really think Supersonic Warriors is worth playing again once you've unlocked everything?
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

Yeah, but that requires a second player with another GBA and cartridge, something I don't have.

Undocumented character buildup in Challenge/Z Battle modes?

Post by Ryuujin » Fri Apr 01, 2005 12:35 pm

I *THINK* there is a build-up thingy when you use a character and fight in Z Battle or Challenge Mode. Not totally certain of this, but I think my Kuririn was doing more damage and taking less after I used him in Z Battle a number of times. Anyone know what that red box's text says, the one that pops up after a win in Z Battle mode? I wonder why Atari didn't translate that one thing...

I play Super Sonic Warriors/Bukuu Tougeki almost everyday. One that that is fun is using gameshark cheats and give yourself and your oppenent Infinite Ki, its mad fun! You can knock your oppenent around like a ping-pong ball with limitless ki!

I was thinking it might make for a pretty kickass video if I could show off some of the sick combos possible...

I agree with Kenisu, but the worth of playing this game ended far before everything was unlocked. I... uh... never unlocked everything... just got bored with it.

In all honesty, I'm disappointed that I bought the game... but I don't sell my games, so I still have it. It's just that I'm busy playing better games like Budokai 3, the only game I've ever played with endless replayability.

The other GBA shouldn't be a problem, but I hear you on the cartridge. What I did was I hyped up my friend about the game, and then when he reached a point like you (where he was bored with it), I said I'd be happy to take it so I could play versus with my brothers. He easily obliged.

But that situation is a tad bit unique. On a more generic scale, get your brother or friend to buy a copy and duke it out.

I used a cheat to unlock it all, and only play for the what-ifs... and I still find it hard to play it even though I want to know the stories... Though I'm not sure you can claim B3 to have endless replayability. It's got good replay vaule (better than SSW by far), but it's not quite endless.

I haven't really touched it in a while and I still have quite a bit more to unlock. I like the fact they included what-if storylines, but I wish they did a bit more with them.
