Characters you love that most people hate (and vice versa)

What are some characters that you really like that the majority of fans hate? And characters that you hate that the majority of fans love?

For the first one, for me it'd have to be: GT Son Pan, Broly, Chaozu, Yamucha, Spopovitch, #19, and #20.

And as for characters I really dislike: Son Gohan (he's alright as a SSjin 2 at the Cell Games though, I guess,) Vegetto (Gogeta rocks though,) Videl, and Burdock's entire team besides him.

I love Mr.Satan.. but again, on Daizex, I think most people like him.

I hate Vegeta, who most people like.

Garlic Jr.
I love this guy. There's something cool about a demon/enemy of God trying to steal the throne. He has interesting abilities, though he's pretty naive. I also like his design and I'd love a story about his father as well.

...and Chi Chi. (this might be a weird choice, but many people do say they hate her)


I can't think of any characters I dislike that most people love. But there are probably a few...

Well, I really like Babidi for some reason and I´ve only seen other people expressing their dislike for him

Gotenks. I don't care if he's "childish" or "psychopathic", I like the interaction between him and Super Buu.

Vice versa; to be honest, even though Kuririn bribing Master Roshi with porno mags was a genuinely funny moment, it also made him look a little weak; all you have to do to get Roshi to train you is find something to give him a boner? That kind of undermines his skill and discipline. I also thought him taking the risk of killing Goku for the sake of proving a point was a dick move. Yeah, I know he said he "probably" wouldn't die, but going that far just made him look like an asshole. Not only that; if Goku did die, how the hell is the lesson "there's always someone better" going to do him any good? And even as a guy, I wanted to see Roshi get a nice kick in the crotch rather than the usual bump on the head. The Turtle Hermit's a decent character overall, but I don't really like him all that much, and he makes us guys look bad.

Pan. I don't get why she gets so much blame for GT being... GT. I guess because she's the "new" character; the outlier.

And, while I'm not in love with him, Satan gets a lot of hate for not being "hardcore" and "serious" like the other characters, which I find dumb.

I like Mr. Satan who people seem to dislike, and I love Kid Trunks which many people dislike it seems since he is not like Future Trunks.

Also, I enjoy Chi Chi and her bantering and whining to get Gohan to study.

Most people hate these characters?

Well maybe not MOST but a lot of people do. Spopovitch gets hated for beating up Videl, Yamucha always gets hated on because he loses fights a lot, Chaozu is one of the most hated characters in the series for some reason, and a lot of people dislike #19 and #20's designs.

Anyway, yeah. Always thought he was a pretty cool character back when I was first watching, especially with all the wonky powers.

I suppose I could say I like GT Trunks and Pan. Most people seem to not like them. Admittedly I have not seen all that much of GT, but I like both of them.

For the vice versa, my recent analyses of Vegeta have caused me to hate him, but only for the last two story arcs, so I guess that counts.

I dislike Satan throughout the Cell arc. I don't care much for Bulma.

I like Pan from GT and Mr. Satan in the Cell saga.

I just want to have this on the record: I don't hate on Yamcha because he loses a lot of fights, I hate on him because he's annoying and uninteresting.

As for unpopular characters I like, I have to go with Mr. Satan. Classic comedy...

I love Garlic Junior, Salt, Mustard, Vinegar, and Spice, even though most people hate that saga, it's still my favourite Z saga.

Also, I hate all the main non-human characters, minus Piccolo.

I don't love him but I've learned to like Broli. His personality wasn't interesting, but I like his design and brutish tank-like characters are always fun to see in the kind of story DB is.

I never found Vegetto or Gogeta interesting in design or personality(they were around for a very short time). I have never seen when Gogeta appears in GT or Vegetto's filler in Z so maybe they were more interesting there. I don't really hate either though.
