Grar~! Integrity Insulted

Post by VegettoEX » Fri Feb 13, 2004 2:11 pm

http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/mes ... 1076359227

I'm not asking anyone to post in the link provided (in fact, I'd rather you didn't, if that means anything to you); I'm simply showing it as an example.

I can pretty much take anything anyone throws at me, personally; I've dealt with this shit for nearly seven years, online, and there's nothing you can say about me that'll even begin to emotionally move me :P.

However, when someone insults the integrity of the information on my site... WTF?! This is actually bugging me... that never happens! What is even his point that I visit FUNimation's site (I can only assume he means the forum)... he's a moderator there, himself! When has Daizenshuu EX (other than with obvious April Fools jokes) ever given anyone a reason to not believe the information we're presenting them with?

Like I say in my posts, there... don't be retarded. If you're going to say something about someone and their site, don't do it in a thread that directly links to their site, you damn dope. This is exactly the kind of thing that we site owners use our hit referrals for :P. Whenever I see a link from a forum, I make sure to check it out... mostly it's just harmless "Check out this awesome picture!" kinda stuff.

*sigh*... that's better ^^;; Ranting is fun!

Ahh, that's pretty sad. To think that someone would doubt Daizex, with official images! You're one of the few sites I trust. It's really pathetic. Sadly, I've seen much worse.

How do you check hit referrals?

Signed up with Extreme Tracking. Free counter, but I mostly use it for hit referrals... still prefer NedStat for actual hit counts (seems more reliable, too).

I've got the link to it as a 1x1 pixel image on the main page under the NedStat counter :P. ( http://extremetracking.com/open?login=vegex ). "Referrer Tracking 1" is its best purpose; actual URL referrals, search engine query referrals... I love it. I refresh it constantly :P.

I'm also a dork.

I'm really sorry about the kind of crap you have to put up with Mike. It's a wonder that you are still going after seven years with these kinds of sideshows going on. :? I feel the same way as Zacko, people like that are just sad. What can it possible gain? Is possible that because he's moderator on the Funimation boards, that for a some ridiculous reason he feels inferior? Since when in comes down to it, Daizex is superior to Funimation's website, in my opinion and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that opinion.

It's a good example of the other sort of site owner though. Inbetween the crazy 13 year old and the mature, sensible one, we get the Overly Dramatic One. The sort of site owner that says "This is MY place, you'll play by MY rules" the moment someone even opens their mouth. The sort of person who would say, in a thread...

"This ends.

Now".

Basically, the sort that thinks that they are running the UN, rather than an internet forum.

Basically, instead of giving a realistic warning to the guy who disses EX's credibility he pulls a "if you can't play by my rules I'm taking my ball home with me!" At least it's better than him siding WITH the guy who dissed EX. There are many who would have come to his defense since EX is simply a bigger site owner.

Hes an elitist who has issues with newbies I think - he'll let more slide with regulars who assault someone outside the forum, but if you try and say something they get mad because you're attacking a board member. Its okay in his eyes so long as its an attack on someone who isnt a regular. In short a little prick.

That was pretty sad...that guy makes an insult directed at EX and his credability, without making any kind of point or evidence, and the 'owner' does nothing.

EX puts him in his place with a well thought out and typed responce, and the owner acts like EX came there first and started trouble. Hypocritical prick.

Man, that made me laugh. The way someone spouts idiotic comments, the way Mike replies in a well formulated comeback, the way the moderator of the board calls this an attack (Consequently, Mike never said anything directly intended to be insulting, yet the moderator felt the need to support his post with a frequent use of the 'f'-word), and the way Mike manages to shut yaps all over the place, making the moderator gibbling to hold on to his previously made comments. Then the way Senkensha cleverly decides not to apologize to Mike (After he realizes his comments were retarded at best), but does apologize to the moderator, seeing as he knows him, and how he doesn't want to admit his own grovelling defeat.

There, now that I have spread that extremely important message, it's time to get to back to eating absurd amounts of jello for no reason.

That depends on whether or not he likes jello.

Haha... you and your images, Laserkid.

I played around with that tracking stuff of yours, VegEX. I also have it as a 1 pixel image... It's a violation of some terms though, isn't it? Or... are you actually paying for that?

I wouldn't let it bother you. For Christsake, the amount of pop-ups that came up from that message board made me think, for just a wee second, I had stumbled into something icky :(

''Die''. It's Japanese after all. Well, sorta... Hey, I had to think of something.
