Screenshot Requests

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a little project I'm undertaking. I'm pretty much doing all my computing off of a netbook these days, so I don't really have the technical equipment to get great screenshots off of my Dragon Boxes (let alone the few Kai Blu-Rays I own). Basically, I'm trying to compile a collage of images of some meaningful cards from the DBZ CCG. Rather than use low resolution artwork off the scans of the cards themselves, I'm trying to get screenshots of each individual piece of art. Currently I have around 30 different cards that I'd like to acquire screenshots of, so I know this is a lot to ask. Anyone with the ability to take screenshots who can contribute would be greatly appreciated. As high quality as possible would be great, but they don't have to be 1080P or anything like that. Here are the screenshots that I'm interested in acquiring:

1 - This is when Goku is using the Kaioken times 3 and Vegeta tries to punch him, but Goku catches both punches and bends his fists back.

2 - Actually that's when Gohan, Bulma, Oolong and Kuririn summon Shenlong in DBZ Movie 3.

3 - It's when they summon Porunga and Freeza wonders why the sky has gotten dark.

4 - It's in the episode right after the #18 vs. Vegeta fight where Vegeta is lying on the ground and #18 walks over to him, right before Trunks charges in.

5 - I think it's during their training at Kami's lookout where they fight the Saiyans from the past.

6 - Not really sure, but I actually think it's against 'First Form Cell' in Ginger Town because Piccolo never fights #17 with his cape on.

7 - I think this is when he's sitting watching Vegeta, who's standing on the edge of a cliff thinking about ascension.

8 - Pretty sure it's from the fight against Ghurd. It's definitely on Namek.

9 - When Trunks gets out his fridge and offers everyone a drink.

10 - This is when Cell blows up the meteors during the break before the 'Cell Games'.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure this is from when Kid Buu is chucking energy blasts at Goku who is waiting to throw the Genki Dama.

Great memory! I never would have figured out that the Tien fighting fake Saiyans one in a million years, hopefully these help narrow it down for anyone willing to take screencaps.

You'd think it was just one cel that they slid under the camera, assuming they drew it all at once. Maybe they are such good animators that they know how to draw a character so that it looks good in a vertical pan?

Also, what's wrong with her proportions? Maybe her legs are a bit long, but that may just be the outfit, because the belt seems to be up a bit high.

Sorry, I worded that confusingly. It most certainly was a single cel.

What's with that green color cast? Was that taken from a recap, or a flashback or something, or is it how the episode looks?

Just out of curiosity, I removed the color cast, and removed some of the green from the blacks by reducing the dark green levels slightly:

That's how the episode looks on the DBOX. As I have been saying, many episodes on the Japanese DVD releases have such bad colours.

The bottom one fared much better.

For fun, I decided to try my hand at doing the same, but I attempted to try to do it more extensively to make it look better. It's probably unusable by the OP depending on what size and quality he needs the images, but again, this was just for fun:


It required me to resize the image by half in the end to keep some sharpness, because I had to reduce the noise quite a bit. Due to laziness though, I ended up having to blur the sky because it looked blotchy, which could have been mostly avoided if I has taken more time.

Also, to make this post not entirely useless, here is the shot of Kuririn with the Genki Dama:


Yes, that is the actual shot; I didn't accidentally capture the wrong frame. What it is, is a panning snot, but it's animated as well. It's right as Kuririn forms the ball out of it. This is the first frame during the pan that has the same cel as the card, which leads me to believe that the card was made of the actual animation cel, and mirrored for the card.


But I won't stop there:


What I did was spliced the two frames that came before it, which together contained the right portion of the image and placement of the Genki Dama, and then I superimposed Kuririn's head from the correct frame over it. I also mirrored to image as well to match the card.

It's not exact, as his arm is a bit lower, but it's as close as you can get unless you can find the animation cel.

Thanks for the latest batch! Where did the Piccolo spreading his hand shot end up coming from? Was it from his first encounter with Cell like someone thought earlier in the thread?

Your theory about using the animation cel for that card is really cool. Oddly enough, I worked for the company that made this card game and I didn't think they had access to stuff like that. I know we had a lot of style guide/image bibles, so maybe that Krillin cel was scanned into one of those. For the most part, cards were imaged capped from VCDs back then!

At first I thought it was before he fights Doctor Gero, but yes it is. It's when Cell points out his spy robot bug and Piccolo destroys it.

That card probably came from a cel that wasn't used in the final production. It may be possible to recreate the card's artwork by merging some of the surrounding frames.

I watched that scene, and it's not from that. I'm trying to think of other possibilities.
-Illusion world where Tenshinhan and co. fight the fake Saiyans.
-The episode where Cell (2nd form) explains his plan to Trunks and why he had to travel to the past.
-Trunks Special.
-The episode where Trunks returns to the future.
