Wow, that's looking good. I have to admit, it looks better zoomed in.

I love that cover. That image of Goku looks so awesome, and a September 13th release date too. Its coming earlier than expected (assuming this doesn't get any delays).

Speaking of which I still am stuck on the second disc of Dragon Box 5. I should probably finish it before Dragon Box 6 comes out.

I like what they did with it. I can respect the challenge dealing with that text. The black on yellow worked when there was nothing around it on the Japanese boxes. But here when FUNi has to stick a large portrait there all of a sudden that text becomes awfully difficult to read. I think they handled it with class.

I really need to start buying these. I've only bought the second one because of that whole "Dbox 2 will be discontinued scare". I'm currently planning on buying the first one after Kai part 5.

On topic, this has a great cover, I love how the first box has base Goku and the last has SS Goku. I will definitely get this eventually.

That looks great! I'm so glad we got the original art from the Japanese Dragonboxes for these releases. They all look gorgeous! I don't think the people who are drawing the Kai covers know what they're doing...

The good news is that we won't be left in the dark for long regarding what, if anything, will come after Z. Presumably if this one hits in September the movies will come November-ish. That means we should be hearing some commentary about future products over the next couple months.

I've been waiting for deals and holidays to get the Dragon Boxes, because I can't justify a day-one when I have bought the series so many times over. But when it comes to the original Dragon Ball. If that gets a DBox release. That's a day-one purchase for every volume, I don't even care.

Rightstuf lists it at 1025 minutes. Does that sound right for 40 episodes?

It's 41 episodes, and yes. 41 times 25 is 1025. The episodes are more like 24:30 (or is it 24:15?), but if you round it up, or factor in the ~2 minute dub credit scroll at the end of each disc, it's pretty accurate.

Dammit, no extras I guess. We'll have to wait and see, though.

Woah, we're at 7 already!? Time flies by when you're having fun I guess. Welp, can't wait to pick this up as usual. Seeing this release finished almost makes me sad. It kinda feels like the end of the series all over again. Maybe because this is the epitome of releases. We'll never have to buy another Z series set ever again, this is it.

Or maybe I'm overemotional and should go to bed.
