Dragonball Blue Bricks $20 Each @ Wally World

Post by the_abberration » Tue Jun 28, 2011 6:54 pm

Don't know if this is news to anyone, or if it has already been reported.

Wally World (Wal-mart), has all five volumes of the Dragonball blue brick sets for $20 a piece. A quick check of their site, have Seasons Four and Five listed at around $15 to $16, and they do site to store for free.

So if anyone wanted to take advantage and get the whole shebang for $100 or under, you better hurry or you'll miss your moment.

Thanks for the heads up. I just placed an order for the Season Three and Four bundle and Season Five. For a total of $53. I was waiting for the FYE B1G1F Anime Sale around the time as some convention but no one except the one clerk seemed to know anything about it. I would have spent around the same amount comparably.

Has anyone ever used Wal-mart store pick-up? It gave me a pick-up date of July 7th - July 13th. I'd just rather pay the four bucks and get it earlier and get it a week or two earlier.

If only I've waited for this sale...too bad I got every single season set as soon as they are announced. :)

I've used their Site to Store a few times. For me, it takes about a week from when I order the item to when it arrives. You get a tracking number so you can keep up to date as to where your order it.

I was at the store the other day and I saw they had all five seasons lined up for $20 each on the top row of a side-display. It's nice to see the original show get some respect.

So all of Dragonball for about $100+tax? Welp, if FUNi doesn't say anything about a Dragon Box release before the years up, I'll probably bite.

Hey gang;

It's cheaper to pick up these for the first four 'seasons;'

http://www.walmart.com/ip/15541849

I took the plunge, and they are literally just the normal season boxsets cellophaned together, so there's not special packaging like the special Kai bundles they're doing in store.

I tried to post about these before, but I got moderhated because these were mentioned in a one-off thread on the Kai board about the Kai disks.

This would probably save about $20, but would look weird on a shelf with the 5th box on its own. $80 for all of Dragonball is a steal though.

There's no difference in these and the actual singles except for the price. Like I mentioned in my post, the double packs are actually just the singles cellophaned together.

Bloop; sorry to double post, but here's some pictures.

Image
The first two are opened, the second two are still sealed.

This is how they cover up/changed the UPC for these packs.

Note the seal.

Ohhh now I understand, they're both sets just shrinkwrapped together. Wow, $80 for all of the bricks is so tempting..really considering getting them.

Edit:

All together with shipping+tax it would be $84.98 to get it shipped. I think I know what I'm spending next time I get 85 clams.

I understand this is off-topic, but how are the Walmart Kai sets packaging? Does it have the holographic-shiny-foil effect that the normal ones do?

They're like wider boxes with both sets slipped into one box. There's a thread on the Kai board somewhere with pictures; I tried to search it out, but I can't find it too easily.

I've seen the pictures, I was just wondering if the sidebars had the same foil effect the normal ones do.

I looked at them in the store the other day, but I couldn't tell you. I would venture to guess no, but that's very much a guess.

Get me sets this morning after ordering Tuesday night. I did not know FedEx delivered on Saturdays. I wasn't expecting them until after the Holiday.
