Japanese Z VS Kai Review: Trunks VS Cell

Before i start, please excuse me for my bad English. I`m just a 14 Year old boy from Norway.
Also, if you spot a mistake, DO NOT fix it yourselves. Just tell me, and i can fix it myself. That is because i want to edit my post later. Thank you.

Here is my comparison of Ultra Super Saiajin 1,5 Trunks fighting against Kanzentai Cell.

I will be starting when Trunks says : Ore kara Saiajin hontoro Shikarao Misetarao, then starts to power up, and i will stop when Trunks fires a ki-blast, sending Cell into a mountain.

Voices:

Trunks:

The first thing i notice is the difference in Kusao`s Performance. In Z, his voice is more calm, perhaps a bit too calm for the situation he is in at the moment. However, in Kai, his voice is deeper, and he sounds more angry. Even though the deeper Trunks voice in Kai sounded strange at first, i have now grown used to it.

His delivery of the first line (look above) is a bit different in Kai. In Z, Trunks sounds calm, but a bit angry. It sounds like he is arguing at the dinner table, not talking to the strongest evil force he has ever felt. In Kai, however, you can hear that he is angry. Not over-the-top angry-mad like Vegeta, but still pissed off. The scream is also better in Kai, with the echo as we see the lightning, and "The Lone Warrior" kicks in in the backround, but more about the music later. Then, after the shot of the lightning, we see Trunks powering up. In Z, his scream is really good. It sounds like he is really straining himself, like it hurts to power up this much. Then, we see a shot off Cell, and the scream stops, but we quickly go back to Trunks, and he starts screaming again. A bit strange, but a really well delivered scream. In Kai, however, his scream is just one long scream, witch is both good and bad. Good, because it sounds more "natural", if you can say that about Dragonball, and bad because, and the end of his scream he sounds a bit... dorky. Overall, i like Trunks scream better in Z.

Then, the fight begins:

The first thing i will talk about is when Trunks starts throwing Ki-blasts at Cell. In Z, Trunks doesnt say anything. Not a scream, not a noise at all. Strange. An error, perhaps? In Kai, however, he goes "GADADADADADA"(or something) and it sounds much better. The same thing happens a second later, when Cell knees Trunks in the back: no sound from Trunks in Z, but in Kai, and again when Trunks flies behing Cell, and kicks him on his back, and the stops him by punching him in the face.

Then, they trade some punches before they stop, and Trunks says something to cell, and this time i enjoy his Z performance more, but there isn't much difference from there on out, so let`s talk about with:

Cell

His performance is very similar in both Z and Kai, so just one thing: as with Trunks, he doesn't make any battle noises in Z AND Kai. Why? However, in both Kai and Z, he has a great performance. Although, in Kai, his grunts sounds more "Evil", so i guess Kai wins abit here aswell.

He has just one line, so this is going to be pretty short:

In Z, his voice is higher, and it sounds like 16 almost could be one of the good guys, but in Kai, he has a deeper voice. Kai is better, but both are good.

And now,

The Visuals:

Both Z and Kai was spetacular here: good animation, and with Kai`s Editing it is almost at Movie level. The reanimated scenes also looks quite good.

Music:

Here, Kai has the advantage:an Insert-Song, while some usual and overused BGM is used in Z. The music in Z is also too calm, and Kai`s "The Lone Warrior" really fits much better, with the upbeat rock music. i also really like the fact that the ending comes when Trunks "stops "winning.

Veridict:

Kai is better, with better voice acting, better effects and better music. Still, both are great. Also, i did NOT review this using the YouTube videos, i used the American Dragon Box and the Japanese Kai BluRay boxset.
