Most Violent Moment in the Series
What would you guys say is the most violent moment in the series? For me, it'd probably be Baby Broly being executed. Sure it's done by shadow, and it's completely silent but the implication is still there.
Re: Most Violent Moment in the Series
Yeah, baby Broly being stabbed may be the most potent combination of "violent" plus "disturbing." The scream from Broly in the dub just makes it even more creepy.
The most straight-up violent part though is definitely the deaths of the Cell Juniors in the manga. Angry Gohan splattering them all over the place, with Toriyama not sparing the gory details.

I'd have to agree with Kaboom, with both of the heads-getting-kicked-off scenes coming in a close second.

I'd say Gohan getting his neck broken.

When Freeza impales Krillin with his horn. I'd say.

Re: Most Violent Moment in the Series

I still think this is one of the top 10 at least. It may not seem all that violent just from looking at it, but imagining it internally is horror. As strong as 13 was compared to the other characters in the movie by the time he integrated 14 and 15's parts, Goku's testicles should have been sent flying out the top of his skull.

The last portion of Goku's fight with Piccolo at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai.

Re: Most Violent Moment in the Series
I'm not sure whether I've actually seen Baby Broli's attempted execution. I've seen DBZ Movie #8, but for some reason, I can't remember that scene.
As for the most violent moment in the series, there are numerous candidates. In agreement with penguintruth, the last part of Goku's battle with Piccolo at the 23rd TB. SSj2 Gohan's massacre of the Cell Juniors in the manga. Freeza's brutal beating of Vegeta.

I'm going to agree that baby Broly being stabbed was the most violent thing in the series.
I'm not even a guy, but every time I see that scene I automatically cross my legs.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:

To be honest, I don't think that Goku getting punched in the balls by #13 was that horrific. I mean, yeah, I understand that having your testicles slammed by a super-powered Android would probably be one of the most painful things imaginable, but I find it more funny than violent.

Being punched like that is liable to make Goku sound all high-pitched and... oh.

. . .
As for the OP question, there are many violent scenes that had an impact on me, but I will go with Vegeta brutally beating Goku in front of Gohan for its sheer imaginativeness in coming up with inumerous ways to kick a person's chest.

EDIT: The ''baby Broly'' scene has been posted but it's FUNimation dub. Oh well.

Re: Most Violent Moment in the Series
Videl vs Spopavitch was pretty morbid, and most violent doesn't nessicarily mean most gory.
Gohan getting his neck broken was pretty bad too even though the slaughter of the Cell Jrs was probably the most gory.

I wipe it off the tile, the light is brighter this time, everything is 3D blasphemy.
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up, this is not the way I picture me.
I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here? Something about this, so very wrong.
I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this. Is it a dream or a memory?

Videl getting beaten by Spopovich was just brutal, especially since she isn't super-powered like the rest of the gang.

Re: Most Violent Moment in the Series
The thing is, while the shadowed scene of a baby being stabbed is gruesome, I don't think it warrants a place as one of the most violent moments in the series. As in, it doesn't register as being particularly violent to me. And I'm not heartless or anything, but it didn't make that much of an impact on me.

Re: Most Violent Moment in the Series
Well, to be fair, neither was Spopavich. He was just a regular human beefed up by Babidi's spell. Although we really don't know how much stronger he was, I'm sure he was nowhere near as strong as the main cast. Regardless, that was a brutal beeting.Great Saiyaman I wrote:Videl getting beaten by Spopovich was just brutal, especially since she isn't super-powered like the rest of the gang.

Dodoria shoving his fist through a Namekian's stomach always comes to mind for me. Piccolo blowing off Dorodabo's head in Lord Slug is pretty great too.
