Dragon Ball Kai to finally air in Hong Kong?!

Post by tinlunlau » Sat Jul 30, 2011 12:07 pm

Rumours abound on a local Hong Kong anime magazine "Ani-wave" which hinted that TVB will finally air "Dragon Ball Kai" this upcoming September on their youth specialty channel J2. I grew up watching TVB's old Cantonese dub of Dragon Ball Z and it was a great dub. But how they're gonna reunite the original dub voice cast remains a mystery as some of them (particularly the voice of Vegeta who was great in his role) have already retired. I have a feeling TVB will use their current batch of voice actors while keeping very little of the original dub cast. But if recent TVB anime dubs indicates, it'll be more than competent. Their Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood dub was really well done.

Speaking of which, I am really impressed with TVB's summer anime block this year. They're airing shows like Bakuman, Fairy Tail, Souten no Ken, Stitch (the MADHOUSE anime), Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas and so on.
The world is your's.
