Saiyuki: Journey to the West (PSX)

Post by Onikage725 » Sun Sep 04, 2011 9:37 am

Ok, obviously this isn't a Dragon Ball game. I mention it due to some common roots. This is a fairly loose adaptation of, well the title says it all. The game itself is a Tactics Ogre/Final Fantasy Tactics clone. It isn't quite as in-depth as those games, which may appeal to some and put off others. It never came out in the US, but it did in Europe with an English translation. I'm bringing this up, because it is available in the US dirt-cheap via PSN. I've had the game for years, so I didn't test the download out, but I saw it today while browsing he PSN store. It's $5.99, which I think is a pretty damn good price. Both versions of FF Tactics go or $9.99, so yeah. The file is modest in size too. I recommend checkin it out!

It was released in the U.S. I own a copy. I got it at Blockbuster when they were zeroing out PS1 games.

I played through a little bit of it. Son Goku definitely reminded me of InuYasha while I was playing it.

Hm, interesting. All the same, an easy recommendation. And you're right! I actually hear Richard Ian Cox in my head when Goku speaks in that game.

Thanks for the recommendation for the forum's readership, but this isn't really DragonBall-related :).
