3 More Members!

Post by admin » Sat Feb 14, 2004 12:18 pm

C'mon guys get your friends and family to sign up, we only need 3 more members to reach that pretty nice 100 member mark. Anyway, if I am not here for the 100th member moment I'd just like to say congratulations to DaizEX, I mean 100 is not much but it's THAT much closer to 1000 ;)

Actually, I kinda like boards that don't have too many members. 100 is a nice number, in my opinion, but a 1000 gets absurd. It makes it really hard to keep up with new posts and conversations, and makes it kinda frantic at times.

I like calm forums.

Speaking of 1000, didn't the timeline discussion surpass that many views?

Although then there's a danger of becoming snobbish, elistest, and arrogant and condescending towards new members.

It's a tricky tightrope.

Let's see you double your number of posts so you can become a "regular" (with 500) first.

'Course, I really shouldn't be talking, since I haven't even breached 100 yet... but hey, I'm Webmaster #2. 8)

Sssh! Don't be telling anyone what the custom ranks are! Especially the fun ones for the really high numbers ^^;;

And I'll kill anyone who constantly posts just to get to them :P

Yes, because the title of "Regular" is an honour best reserved for those worth receiving. :P
Besides Jersey's been a regular for about two weeks now.

About these "fun custom ranks" though, am I to expect a schmancy-fancy "SOOPER SAYIN FIVV DIE 3 DANKIE" title for when I reach 1 million posts, or an "00ber Elite King Saiyan Prince Vegeta!!!!" ?
Who am I kidding? I secretely yearn to find out what comes after regular.

I mean, you'd have to be pretty sad to keep posting just to up your post number. Especially what with that forced delay between posts.

It really hurts when you guys post two word messages without even so much as a period... *sniff* I want to be "cool" like you people with your super post counts. See, while I spend 95 percent of my weekends reading webcomics, (5% eating and sleeping) you spend it one 2 way conversations. Oh wait, I think I've been in a few 2 way convos myself... better shut up now.

This other board that I frequent has a guy on it with an average of over 40 posts per day. That's psycho! And they don't even do anything about it... No contributions.

So, you know what would help me get some more posts? Newbie introduction topics! Damn you, newbies, now's not the time to be shy. Zacky boy needs a new pair of shoes... or at least some posts without officially being a target from VegEX.

Really, I'm a regular now? Gosh,I didn't even notice! I'm not sure if I should find that great or pathetic, especially since Dayspring noticed it two weeks ago and I wouldn't even have probably noticed if he hadn't said it. :| And VegEX, I am hurt that you would even think that we would make a lot of posts just to rise up the custom ranks! I for one would never do that! *crosses fingers behind back*

As for me, it would be a lot easier to get more posts if I had knowledge of DVDs. That topic seems to come up more than anything on this board.

I'm all manga here (and Daizenshuu 7) with only the movies on DVD (still missing my Bardock and Trunks though. ).
