Best way to rip music from a DVD/Blu-Ray?

Well, this actually deals with both Yu Yu hakusho+Dbz.

in the very near future, I plan on ripping Yu Yu hakusho tracks. As you all know, most YYH tracks are unreleased. Only a few people(Epic Blargman+Paul) have managed to rip these with high difficulty.

My plan is to rip these tracks, and input them into Dbz scenes/fights( I already know how to remove old BGM and retain audio+Sfx)

The issue I came up with is that while these rips are fine and dandy, they contain a bit of Sfx. My goal is to buy the YYH blu-ray disks(which has 5.1 Audio) so that I can hopefully get rid of it. Epic Blarg+ Paul have told me they've searched for episodes to get these tracks. However, these were with the DVD's, and I'm assuming th song will be in higher quality for the blu-ray version This user for example, managed to rip them pretty good. He apparently has th DVD, and it sems that ripping music from the disc itself will provide better/easier results.

Not really sure of his whole process though. Has anyone here ripped songs from Dbz? And directly from the DVd? IF so, what did you do?What was the whole process? People have told me about searching for episodes on the web for ripping, but wouldn't ripping the song from the DVD+blu-ray itself provide better quality? Or be less of a headache in general?
