Dragonball Z Movie 12 With Yu Yu Hakusho music

Well it's not entirely Movie 12, but it's mainly the Goku and Vegeta Vs Janemba Fight.

This is a project I've wanted to do for a good while. As it stands, there aren't many videos that combine Dbz with YYH music. Or vice versa. Usually, it performs a less than steller job, (mainly because the old bgm is present)

So what I did was removed the old BGM of movie 12. And add in YYH music.

There are two parts. However, I'm having issues with part 1. So, i'll put it like this

Well, first of all, could you please tell me how you removed the original BGM? If not, then I'll describe my feelings. Now, I haven't watched all of it, but your choice of BGM is generally really good. However, the way it's applied could use some work. As it is, it feels too much like a CD, where one track plays, fades out, then the next one immediately starts. This is generally not a good idea.

Also, this is just my musical tastes here, but I'd of had silence as Janemba teleported away when SSJ3 Goku tried to blast him. Then use the Dark Tournament music that plays here right as Janemba appears...

Well, um, you'll need the DVD, Sony Vegas Pro 10-11(maybe 9. I use 10 though). Freemake video converter. And more importantly, it'll need 5.1 audio.. I'm more than willing to help you...since truth be told. Removing music out of videos while retaining voice+ Sfx seems like an impossible. Thing. When it really isn't, but these methods aren't very known.

You'll have to tell me though. Do ..you ...have the Dvd? I tested this method with
1. Dbz remastered/orange brick sets
2. Dbgt remastered sets
3. A friend of mine has tested it with the KAI Dvds.
4. Dbz Movie 12
5. Dragon box7


In a short summary I: Used freemake to convert Dvd to Mp4. Put converted Mp4 file on Sony Vegas. Got rid of any other track except for the voice+ sfx. Rendered the file.

However, it's much....longer than you think. And I can show you the full guide if you want(it's really long. but it gets down to specifics. It shows step by step how to do it)

With the Dragon box though...I tested one disk and it was messed up. Basically, the Sfx was extremely low. Lower compared to the voice.

With the movies..they could be hit/miss. When I tried using my method for movie 12 , the movie was completely rearranged. But that was the only issue. However, with other movies, you might have an issue like low Sfx.

As far as silence goes..yeah i'm still working on that. I had a few points where it was silent,....but it's obviously not perfect. I did think of adding in this theme when JAnemba grabs his sword(keeping everything silent when Ssj3 goku is shown damanged until janemba gets the sword) here

But.. I kinda decided to scrap that idea. I felt that inochi o kakaete worked extremly well with Goku vs Janemba at the start though ...but I can see how that music works relatively well with that scene. I've never really been a fan of silence, but i see your point

I'll work on silencing in my future videos...because quite frankly...it was hell putting the music in...considering that the majority are either low quality, have footsteps in them(due to rips, but it's the best way) ...etc. So I don't really see myself remaking this video with improvements any time soon. Future videos however, are noted.

EDIT: Getting more into your request, well, I'll just tell you a few things before I show you the guide

1. It's not 100% guaranteed : By this, I mean I can't tell you that "This will work for any Dbz dvd's you have with 5.1 audio"

Numerous issues can still come up. You can try to get rid of all tracks except for Audio+Sfx. However, music could STILL exist on the track that contains Sfx+Audio.

Other issues such as low sfx(but decent voice) can occur. And even with all other tracks ,there could be an instance where all tracks contain the Bgm

2: The process is LONG. It also depends if you have a fast PC, or a slow PC. IF your PC is slow, then expect the whole thing to take a day(Sony Vegas rendering is long as shit)

Tested: Dbz orange brick set 2: Disk 2
Dbgt remastered: All disks
Movie: Fusion Reborn
Dragon box 7 Disk 4


My friend, who has tested this method, states that it works with
1. His Kai Dvd's(Specifically when Frieza fights Gohan, vegeta , krillin, etc)
2. Bardock Movie(however, it has low Sfx)
3. Movie 10(for some reason ,he states he can still hear the old jpn bgm. though you can barely hear it)
4. Movie 8.

Alright then. I removed some parts of my posts.

Anyway. I'm not sure about that guide, but i'll tell you my method in removing music, while maintaining voices + sfx. I'll post the full guide in 3-5 minutes

Alright, I made another post because this post is going to be dedicated to the guide I use in removing music

Here is what you will NEED

1. Sony Vegas 10 or 11. If you don't have It, get the trial version. Or buy it. Just find a way to get Vegas. That is all I will say on that matter.

2. Free Make Video Converter: Easy to download. Search up on google

That should be it

3. The Dvd. No Ifs, ands, or buts. My method of ripping music while retaining audio+sfx NEEDS the DVD.

4. The Dvd NEEDS to have 5.1 audio


Step 1: Go to Freemake.

Step 2: To the top, click on DVD. This is what you'll be adding to Freemake. It'll look like this. The purpose for this is too add the Dvd on Freemake, so that you can convert it to Mp4.

Step 3
.Press okay (For the Dvd disc) and it'll say opening. Wait for it. It'll take a good while (10 minutes and up), but don't give up. Once it's done, it'll look like this

Step 4.
Now for this, I recommend clicking on the title that has the longest time. You only really need to click one. Once you click it, press okay.(forget the fact that I clicked two. Just click the one with the highest time)

Step 5.
After that, it should look like this. Now go all the way to the bottom right and click on "To MP4"

Step 6:
Once you have clicked MP4, go to the Preset, and put it to CUSTOM

Step 7
Now under preset, go to "Edit preset (the middle blue icon). MAKE SURE AUDIO CODEC is AAC. AND MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE CHANNEL TO 5.1. So basically, you want it to look like this.

Now , after that, click okay. Your thing should now look like this. You will now wait for it, until it goes to 100%

Step 8: Once it is done converting, open up sony Vegas. Go to file, open, and then open the video. Basically, wherever you saved it at. Once you've opened it, your sony Vegas file should look like this
In the bottom left, there is something called "building peaks" wait for that to go all the way to 100%

Step 9
Once that's done, scroll down to all the files below. Basically, there will be 6- 7 tracks overall. Your goal is to get rid of everything except the first two tracks. To be more specific, after the video part, you'll need to find out which track contains both Voice+Sfx. Both the voice+Sfx are on one track. To make sure, mute all the other tracks except for the red track. If that doesn't work, then just play around with it until you know the correct track that contains both Audio+Sfx. Then mute the others

Step 10
Once you've muted all other tracks besides the one that has both audio+Sfx, you are ready to get rid of them. In order to do that though, you'll need to do the following. You will need to remove each track(that is on mute) by Right Clicking. Going to group, and then remove from. Do this for everything except for the track that contains both audio+Sfx

Step 11:
Once you've done it, move it. You'll notice that they all move, except for the first and 2nd track. Once you've realized this, delete them all(EXCEPT FOR THE FIRST AND 2nd TRACK. On more specific terms: Except for the track that contains both the audio+Sfx and except for the video .)
Here is what it will look like.

From here on out , click play.

If you've done everything right, press play at the start of the video. You'll immediately notice that once you play it, you'll hear no BGM. However, from here on out, two things will either occur.

1. Your whole video will play perfectly. Basically, if you skip to the later parts, your video will still be good. You won't hear any "Weird" sounds (Will explain this more on the 2nd Option ). You will hear the video with only the audio+Sfx and nothing else. I suggest you check the beginning, middle, near end, end. Check
If this happens, then you are good. You can separate your parts. Cut them. Render them as Avi/Wmv/Mp4. Whatever you like.

However, something else may occur (which is more likely to happen)

2. Your video sound may be out of sync. To further elaborate, while the beginning of your video may sound okay(with no background music ), if you skip to the later parts of your video, it'll start playing sounds from the intro, or audio from the beginning.
So say your whole video is from the beginning of base Goku fighting Frieza....to....Goku turning ssj. Lets say , Goku turning Ssj is around middle, or more likely around the end. While the video may be playing fine, the audio of the fight will skip the beginning. In other words, you'll be hearing the intro and the voices of goku meeting/fighting frieza at base...while WATCHING Ssj Goku fight frieza. In essence, they won't match.


Assuming #2 occurs, you'll want to do one thing. RENDER. Render the whole video as Wmv, or Avi.

Avi is quicker to render. However, it takes much more space out of your Hard drive. It can possibly take 20 gb of your hard drive. Maybe 30

Wmv is slower..but takes up less space.

Continuing on
DO NOT CUT ANY PARTS .Just render everything. Once everything is done rendering, you can then open the file back up on Vegas. You will now realize that everything is perfect. You won't hear the old Bgm. If you skip to the later part of the video, you again, will not hear the old Bgm. All you will hear are the voices and the Sfx. You can cut parts, separate them into episodes, and separate them to fights only, anything. Do what you want.

BONUS: Now, if you want to get rid of the black bars+ put it to widescreen, then do the following
1.Go to File. Properties. Then look to where it says "Template" . Click it and you can go to NTSC Widescreen(Usually the quickest to render). Or you can improve the quality of your video by putting it to HD720

Notes: I have no idea if this method would work for a blu-ray. It should be able to work. However, my experience is with the DVD's only. Once I get a blu-ray set and converter, then maybe I'll confirm it.
2. This whole process can take hours...maybe even a day. Depending on your PC speeds . It also depends on how big the file is.

POSSIBLE ISSUES:

1. I Can't open up my Mp4 File on sony Vegas
Possible Solutions
A. Make sure you've done everything as I've stated. IE Make sure you didn't convert a Rip to Mp4. Convert the Dvd into Mp4.

B. If it's still didn't work, despite the fact that you followed the guide. then use another program to convert your Dvd to Mp4. In fact, use handbreak. I didn't make a guide for this, so you're pretty much on your own if this happens. It's pretty much another Dvd to Mp4 converter.

Once that Dvd is converted to Mp4 using handbreak, try to open it up back in Vegas

C. If THAT still doesn't work...then it would probably depend on your version of Vegas. I use Vegas 10, and nothing below it.

2. Can I use this with the Blu-Ray's?

A. I have no idea if this process would work. This process was made using the DVD's only. However the blu-rays do have 5.1 audio. Regardless, it's up to you to test them. And I can't speak for issues that may possibly come up

Yeah, it really does suck. Especially since these require 5.1 audio.

I wish I can say my method can be used for everything...but there still are issues

For example, with Dbox7, using my method , I found out that the Sfx was MUCH lower than the voices. When you get rid of the music anyway. The audio there is different. What I do plan on doing is trying to see If I can use my method on the last Orange brick release(so I can transfer the audio+sfx with no music to the Dragonbox. And from there on, include my own music)

Another instance is with the Remastered Bardock Movie. A friend of mine tested the method with the Bardock movie, and at some parts, you can't hear the Sfx(despite the voices being decent to hear)

Yet, testing it with the Bojack movie, you can hear the voices+Sfx. no old Bgm(he added faulconer music.) The Sfx and voices are up to par.

Hell, there are other issues. A friend of mines on youtube(moviemaster) tried ripping dbz orange brick season 6, yet he found out that there were music on all tracks. (usually 5-6 pop out when using this method . One usually contains only voices+Sfx. But in this instance, there was music on everything))


Its one of the reasons why I didn't make a separate topic about my method yet. I mean, I could(and maybe should so I can get info from more people as to what works/doesn't work)
